    Beautiful, but you must think about a important thing in next time dude:
    You must fix this woofer in one individual chamber, the woofer have big excursion and moves too much air they can interfere in this mid bass or full range speakers.
    A non solid chamber decrease your woofer eficcience and low frequency response and can push yours mid bass speaker over excursion limit.
    Anyway you did a great job, beautiful finishes.

    Using bigger heat sink is one of the very important and nice idea to avoid amplifier burning. Very nice job and I learned. Thanks.

      But its too wide and too far away from the heat souce so the siddes are almost doing nothing. Thats why some cpu coolers have heatpipes.

    OMG..that is going to be the first build of such a thing where I see a toroidal transformer is used! Normally, such a thing only sits in high-end HiFi equipment. Very well done.

    • @ВладимирИльин-о4к
      @ВладимирИльин-о4к 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      A toroidal transformer is not always the best solution, sometimes it is more useful to have a transformer with uneven stray fields, but with a movable transformer support platform. If the stray fields are organized in the form of a dipole, then you can get better results in terms of the level of electrical interference. Which is very, very important.

    By leaving the midrange and subwoofer drivers in the same chamber, you are creating a situation where you have massive amount of phase cancellation. You'd want to seperate them and give them their own chamber and airspace.

    • @kodtech
      @kodtech  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      I used "Sealed Back Midrange Speaker" just to avoid this problem...

  • @majorxdf

    This looks like a really high quality build, built with a masters touch, however, all of the speakers seemed to be lower end. I don't know, I could be wrong. But, if it sounds good, that's all that matters. It's just that you need speakers to go with the awesome box you built and the electronics! Anyway, blown away by the build.

    • @kodtech

    This is a nice project, congrats. maybe you can improve sound quality with some pollyfill or sinthetic whool to make more rich bass.
    with no time for complex audio technical details:
    if it don't have a 2 way Xover, on each channel, impove sound quality with a couple of capacitors (maybe 22Uf 100V non polar) in parallel with each mid-bass spk, and a couple of resistors ( 6 or 10 Ohm x 6-10 watts + and a 1uF x 150-250v in series with each tweeter.
    This kind of videos frome MAKERS are very inpirationals. keep doing it.
    well done.

    • @kodtech
      @kodtech  7 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks!
      Because the woofer is separated, I have used only capacitors for tweeters, from the table here:
      www.carstereo.com/help/Articles.cfm?id=1
      (In my case is 2.5uF/400V)
      All the pieces were bought from ebay. I will put all links in a public comment.

    Nice work, looks nice, but why the woofer on top? Underneath and put the whole system on spikes also the speakers in that size need more volume (capacity) or some fresh air, it would sound really nice, the box itself makes the most in good sound, not that much the speakers or chassis, you can have the best but if the box sucks they won't listen good, but with a good box you can make some old tv speakers sound amazing, only need a bass then.

    Is the subwoofer seeing full range frequency? What low pass filtering did you wire in?

    • @kodtech
      @kodtech  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      No. The amp is in 2.1 configuration, and have a build-in band-pass/high-pass. Just caps for tweeters.

    • @cup_and_cone
      @cup_and_cone 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      kodtech - What I'm saying is the TDA7377 chip doesn't have any filtering on the datasheet. Does the construction kit for your chip have filtering?

    • @kodtech
      @kodtech  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yeap! That's exactly what I said. The kit came with 2 circuit boards. If you look on the TDA7377 datasheet, you can see that this IC have 4 inputs. 2 are used as L/R, and 2 in bridge (for woofer). Before the bridge input there is a low pass/gain control, and for the L/R input there is a band pass filter, but all this are on the 2'nd board.

      The purpose of this video is to encourage you to do it yourself :)
      Like I said, I have no professional skills...
      I'm sure you can find someone near you, who can do this better.

    Sorry, down voted given the obnoxious music all around. Project looks interesting, though I could not even watch it to the end. Many DIY TH-cam channels are being praised exactly by the _absence_ of this kind of background noise, err... music. Maybe this could work as a suggestion to your next videos. Thanks for posting anyway, it surely took some time.

    You should have the sub facing down so it has more thump

    • @kodtech
      @kodtech  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Actually is better in this way, because the face down configuration is prone to distortions due the sitting surface (hard,soft,elastic) and air pressure created by the woofer (which can lift up the box).

    • @theonecommenter
      @theonecommenter 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@kodtech well I'm talking about having the air flow hole out the side and have the sub facing down just sayin because I make my own subs and they are better facing down with the air coming out the front and that's how most subs are made now days

    Salut, foarte frumos lucrat proiectul, îmi place și felul cum filmezi... Surprinzi bine cadrele.
    O întrebare am : nu era mai ok sa faci camera separata pentru subwoofer?
    Nu ai filmat și legăturile dintre module, ar fi fost interesant.
    Succes!

    • @kodtech
      @kodtech  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      In multe comment-uri a fost ridicata problema camerei separate pt subwoofer.Raspunsul este foarte simplu:
      NU, nu ai nevoie de asa ceva daca folosesti "sealed back speakers" pt MID si HIGH cum am folosit eu. Dupa cum le este si denumirea, ele sunt deja izolate din fabrica de orice influenta mecanica din spate.
      Vizavi de legaturile dintre module nu era nimic interesant, deoarece conexiunile sunt deja standardizate (pe mufe care vin la kit) si nu ai ce sa gresesti.
      Multumesc pentru aprecieri.
      PS: Ca si profesie sunt Editor imagine la o televiziune cunoscuta ;)

    A TPA 3116D class D could be better, less them 0,5% THD, and you don't need a toroidal transformer to push it, 10% THD is terrible man.

      Looking at specs, still looks like you'll need to make you own low pass filter and crossover on input side if you want to power low end drivers.
