Packed my Colorado moose out with the Pintler. I pack in with my shelter and food in a dry bag in the overload shelf. I also have a Metcalf I’ve packed Elk out in but prefer the Pintler even on 3-5 day hunts. The Pintler is lighter and has better organization. MR handles the weight so well and they are extremely tough bags.
They really need to open shops, these things are so expensive, you need to be able to see it. Kind of like buying a car, you need to test drive it. I need to be able to view them. Bass Pro Shop doesn't have them in my neck of the woods.
When are we getting metcalf bag only??? I have a pintler but want a bigger bag for couple day backcountry hunts without going all the way up to the beartooth

I want a pack between the Sawtooth & the Metcalf. To me... It makes no sense to go from 45L to 72L without an in-between! Annoying as hell.

Is the frame on the Metcalf useable on the beartooth 80? Or would you need to buy a completely new bag and frame
If you have the Guide Light MT Frame you shouldn't have any issues attaching the Beartooth bag to your frame.
Curious what happened to the Selway 60? Seemed like a good pack but kinda disappeared. What would be the replacement for it. Thanks
It just never caught on. Probably the Metcalf would be the best option in that size range.
Selway needs to be introduced again and maybe updated as it was such a decent minimalist medium pack.
