They're not a legit K-pop band. I don't think they should be lumped into that. They're way too good for the industry. There is no group doing what they're doing. But sadly there under a huge label that doesn't benefit them. Also side note, I think it's actually incredibly smart of Day6 to do cover songs for big performances like this. It's a really good way to get your audience engaged, since their music isn't really atypical, in contrast to K-pop music. Very few artists are that self aware. I would have liked to see a cover then their own song, but honestly it's a big deal that they even got a stage. I didn't think the snakes at MAMA would allow it.
Jae's voice was so sexy in this song. And Young K's brrrraaaah, with Sungjin's raspy tone and Wonpil's piercing voice....and let's not forget Dowoon's great drumming. Damn. No disrespect to GOT7, but I really wished we got to hear Day6 sing the full song.

I'm in love with the arrangement day6 made of never ever 😍😍 Dowoon killed it in the beggining in the drums focus, he really did stand out. I can't stop replaying Jae and Brian parts, their voices and the adlibs they did are too charming (of course Wonpil and Sungjin have also beautiful voices, but I love the changes in Brian's and Jae's parts from the original song). Even if it was short and they should have performed an original song also (c'mon they have been working their asses off all year with 2 monthly releases and won the overall voting), this short rock version cover really displays day6 talents and how they can make any song their own, which really makes them stand out from the other artists performing at MAMA. Even if they don't win any awards, I'm really hoping they gain more fans from this, especially because everyday6 it's coming to an end 😭😭

I'm in love with the arrangement day6 made of never ever 😍😍 Dowoon killed it in the beggining in the drums focus, he really did stand out. I can't stop replaying Jae and Brian parts, their voices and the adlibs they did are too charming (of course Wonpil and Sungjin have also beautiful voices, but I love the changes in Brian's and Jae's parts from the original song). Even if it was short and they should have performed an original song also (c'mon they have been working their asses off all year with 2 monthly releases and won the overall voting), this short rock version cover really displays day6 talents and how they can make any song their own, which really makes them stand out from the other artists performing at MAMA. Even if they don't win any awards, I'm really hoping they gain more fans from this, especially because everyday6 it's coming to an end 😭😭
