      Sir, in the second question with trains, the Priya one. Shouldn't train ideally leave at 10: 28, considering that if it leaves terminal B at 10:15, then it will take 3 + 3 + 3 + (1 + 1) = 11 mins i.e. It reaches T at 10: 26, but then there is a waiting time of 2 mins at each junction so shouldn't Priya leave at 10: 28. Please reply asap

    Hey, In the first question of the Metro question set, why are you considering trains from only terminal M? It is clearly mentioned in the question that the train can go in a reverse direction after completing a trip (after a 15 min rest). So if we consider train starting at 6:50 Am from terminal N, it'll reach the Terminal M at 7:51 AM (I.e. after 61 min), So now the train will take a rest for 15 min and leave terminal M at 8:06 which is the earliest Hari can board the train and reach terminal N after 61 min i.e. at 9:07.

      Hey Shreya,
      The question mentions that trains start from the source once in every 10 mins in the east west direction. It is also mentioned that - a train must rest for "at least 15 minutes" after completing a trip at the terminal station which means it need not be 15 mins on dot. The train can only start at multiples of 10 mins at the terminal station even if the train has reached early. In this case, the train can leave terminal M only at 8:10 despite being ready by 8:06 itself.
      Hope this helps.
      Best Wishes!

    In the Hockey Team question. Question says goals in match 3=7 and either 1 or 5 is different from 3 &7. Which indirectly means either 1 or 5 is equal to 3 & 7. Which means both 1 & 5 cannot be different from 3 & 7. So our solution must be like 5 goals in match 1 & one goal and each other's.

    in the metro service set, in the first question why didn't you consider the time taken to reach station N? you stopped at one station before station N and only counted 5 stations after station S instead of 6

    HOCKEY SET: it is written that M3 and M7 are not equal to EITHER M1 or M5.. so it means that they are not equal to EITHER one of them and NOT NECESSARILY BOTH...? Due to this The solution differs.. as M1 can have 5 goals and M5 can have 1 goal. AND one of them that is M1 differs from M3 and M7 Satisfying the condition. How can the language be this wrong in the actual cat exam!

    Hello Sir in the hockey game set it is given in a point that
    "An equal number of goals were scored in Match 3 and Match 7, which was different from the number of goals scored in either Match 1 or Match 5 ."
    So technically no. of goals scored in match 3 and 7 can be either different from the no. of goal scored in match 1 or in match 5
    But in the solution both match 1 and match 5 have different scores than in match 3 and 7.
    Please help me out with this.
    Thankyou

      It means that both 3 and 7 must be equal, but that score would not be equal to 1 or 5. 1 may not be equal to 5, on solving we get to know that 1 and 5 will be different(5 is not highest and highest is unique, so 1 would be highest)

    I have a doubt in the first set why not attending any event is considered 0.2x when in the facts its given that only 80% boys attend 1 day event when there is a chance that someone in 20% might be attending 3 day event as well

    • @sachin251998
      @sachin251998 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If you are interested in attending 3 Days, then automatically you are interested in attending 2 Days and if you are interested in attending 2 Days, then automatically you are interested in attending 1 Day. So there is no possibility where there can be someone who is not interested in 1 Day being interested in 2 Day or 3 Day.
      So, if they're not interested in attending 1 Day it means they are not interested to attend the event at all.

    In the get together set… Sir you have included the girl singers in the 2 day event but the point number 3 says 60% of the girls interested in day 2 are neither singers or dancers and yet you all have included 2 singers in day 2… can someone or 2iim explain that

    • @riyaahehe

      60% girls are non dancer non singer...rest 40% are dancer and singer (out of total girls interested)

    sir in the first set you solved [ Venn diagram] how can you conclude that the total Boys students are only 50 (you said 100 doesn't work} but why ? if we need a multiple of 50 and 5 it can be 50,100,150, anything right ? how you selected 50 only what's the logic please explain!!

    • @youtubevanced1048
      @youtubevanced1048 ปีที่แล้ว

      given there are only 10 boys that are abled to dance and sing .so it cant go above 10 . so we take x=50

    • @kunaldozensofstories6601
      @kunaldozensofstories6601 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So rest can be the ones who do nothing !

    • @kunaldozensofstories6601
      @kunaldozensofstories6601 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      What's the problem in that case ?

    • @bhaskarbawaly8515
      @bhaskarbawaly8515 ปีที่แล้ว

      because, .18x which is boys either dancers or singers from 2 day events will be become 18, if x is 100, so it must be 50 to keep the numbers in range.@@kunaldozensofstories6601

    • @sachin251998
      @sachin251998 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@kunaldozensofstories6601we get the conditions from the given scenarios that
      Number or boys attending 2 day event = 0.6x ( 60 % of total boys)
      and out of these 0.6x boys, 30% are either singers or dancers.
      So total number of male singers or dancers interested in 2 Day event = 0.3 * 0.6x = 0.18x
      From this we get that x is a multiple of 50. So it is either 50,100,150...
      But if x is 100, no. of singers and dancers will be 18 which is not possible since they're limited to 10.
      So x= 50 is the only possible value for the number of boys
