I’m really glad that we don’t get that gorge wind down here in Albany. I did too many years of it heavy in Portland and Milwaukie. Wish us luck on getting to Lincoln City. We leave at around 2. 🙏🤞🏻
Yeah, that sucks. I try not to complain too much when we get it, cuz I know the Midwest gets it worse. This should be about our last chance at deep freeze, I'll throw pollen on the bees next week and hopefully they start brooding up
Damn that hurts. The wind is the worst. I worked outside in Alaska when the thermometer said 60 below. But there was no wind. You still don't stay out in it very long
You get that gorge wind chill harder then we do I think, It kind of looks like we might have gotten a little more snow then ya though. Don't burn those good Russian lids, I have a plan for them for next Winter. Stay warm Harris, how's Misty's bees doing😂probably better then ours.
Yes, the wind coming down the gorge blows right down to Willamette valley. You think that takes a little of the steam off of it headed to you. But you have more moisture coming off the ocean. No idea what Misty's bees look like, probably won't know till spring
Yes, sometimes it is the more the wind than the temps that matters. Stay warm.

I think they've done a pretty good job with most of the roads. Just don't drive crazy, and you should make it. And happy birthday.

I've only seen -15 a couple times. Power went out once . Broke water lines. Hauled water for a week because it was too cold to fix, Otto, NC.

I was working my bees at 48 degrees, today. But, we will get some all day freezes next week.
I don't think anyone is going to some part of that cold snap

I am running 100. 20 are a friends, but this time of year I work them here
