I want to live like the mysterious stranger, he seems so full of life and wonder. We're not meant to all live on top of each other, he has space and materials to fuel his imagination. I wonder what other things he dreams of building. This video is such a gem.

This dude is the realest!!! A lot of people do not know this but it was people from the Canary Islands that first settled in Louisiana for Spain. And if I remember correctly it was because the regular Spaniards just couldn't make it in the swamps, they all died off. So they moved a bunch of Canary Islanders there and they did fine because they are such survivors. There is still to this day a settlement and they still speak a very old and hybridized version of spanish In Louisiana they are called los islenos or "the islanders" I got to meet a grandmother from this village and she really reminds me of the folks in this video. We were in Gran Canaria last week holidaying with the family. I may never have chance to experience the sort of travelling you do in "Bald and Bankrupt" style, but at least I can watch this channel to experience it too in a way. My brother lived on Lanzarote and Teneriffe. He lives in the mainland now. hey in the same vein as this why not go down to Cabo De Gata, Almeria to the famous hippy beach of Cala San Pedro? (it is also semi-legal there). Famous also for the naked women! If you go say ho to Captain Calm at his beach bar!
I was on one of the canary islands about 15 years ago. I met a local guy who invited me to go to a party. We had to take a taxi to get up to a bar in the mountains. It was lively There was this one guy. Everyone called him "Jefe". At one stage he was so drunk he put a cigarette in his mouth backwards and was just about to light it when I snapped it out of his mouth. Jefe means chief, btw. In this case he was the chief of police.😅

I can't understand why people, especially brits who travel to Spain, the Canary Islands or wherever, just want to sit by a pool or the beach and not explore the local sights and customs. When we travel, if we see signs for english breakfast or british beer served here, then we drive through without stopping. Great videos Elliott 👍

I sometimes feel uncomfortable when I watch your videos, because of how little you let others comment when you're commentating, and how little gratitude you give at times, to these people who enhance your content. The Brit that was with you, you treated him like a manikin. What was his story? Other than that 1 criticism, I'm a fan. Thank you.
That guy is called “no soy Rubio” and has a TH-cam channel with that same name. He doesn’t talk because he’s soft spoken and was just along for the adventure. The protagonist of this video was the man who received us at his cabin. Now if I had a boisterous Brit with me who loves talking of course I’d let him talk. Did you see how much the guv at the end of the video was talking? We must’ve listened to him speaking for 3-4 hours while drinking rum that night. I could only put in a few parts because otherwise writing subtitles would’ve taken me 40 hours. Take care. You’ll see any many video that feature others
