Yes, the Mansion is his Mind. He said he doesn’t want to let anyone else in because he doesn’t want to get hurt. But he also said Fear moved in and it’s been making things hard for him. He’s said that in order to get fear out of his mind, he’d have to open the door to let Help from others in but he’s also not comfortable with that either because he doesn’t want to be hurt or let down. He also said that he wrote on the wall that he was losing his Mom. Referring to his moms situation. “ How Could You Leave Us” will explain that part. React to that video. It will also explain why he’s been in such a dark place that lead to OCD, depression and anxiety for him. The NF fans will fill you in more.

What’s crazy is he chooses smaller venues even though he could easily pack a larger one because he loves how intimate it is with his fans. The energy in there was amazing! Love your reactions! Keep going in order, you’ll find early songs that you don’t love, but get through it. And btw, 4 albums and he doesn’t curse.

You need to remember the part near the end when he's talking bout fear for when you listen to Intro 3.
The only way to conquer fear is to let others in and not be afraid, but fear is right there the whole time making sure he is afraid to do that. Its a circle problem that will never end. Great lyrics!

It’s fear, “fear came to my house years ago, I left him in. Maybe that’s the problem cause I’ve been dealing with this ever since” he’s saying he wants to get rid of the fear but in order to do that he would have to open doors to certain things that he doesn’t want to

The mansion is his mind. The big difference is, each room is an emotion not just a memory. Fear has a room, regret has a room, anger has a room. What makes NF special is his ability to give those emotions a physical manifestation for you to visualize in your own mansion(😋). His metaphors make you feel the emotion and connects you on a whole new level

Yeah. The Mansion is his mind. The first memory is when he physically abused by the mother's boyfriend, so he talk about when he tried to forget this memory he couldn't it, so he burned the Room. And when he talks the Fear in his eyes he talk about when his stepfather Go to him(to beat him) and He say that stepfather see in his eyes The Fear, and now NF introduce to us this emotion The Fear, is the principal character that he introduce to us 'till the perception ...

I know this comment is kinda late but here is some background info on Nate. His parents divorced and his mother's new boyfriend was abusive ( the abuse in the beginning) . He became depressed and didn't want anything to do with people. He found his passion in music and that's what he does to this day. He made the mansion in his head to forget it all. Then he lost his mom to drugs and he became even more sad. Nathan didn't know what to do apart from music for a long time.
Edit: I hope this helps anyone that doesn't know a lot about NF.

Dont do intro 3 until you've listened to more of his catalog. I keep seeing people recomend that song next, but I feel like that song will only hit home once you've gotten to know him better through his older work.
