I have a STEM degree and I’ve worked in Tech my whole life. I don’t even bring it up unless asked and I’m pretty vague regarding what I do. I just want the focus to be on who I am as a person. I’ve dated women of many professions. My only concern was getting to know them as a person. Their degree/profession never mattered to me. I just genuinely appreciate a good person.

Most people work three quarters of your life (40-50 years). If you are lucky and have good health, you propberbly have a good 10-15 years after you retire. So yes, your work becomes part of you but its up to you as an individual to know what your passion is and to get in touch with your hobbies thru out the years. 🙂🙃

The mantra that I've held for most of my adult life is that I have no more respect or regard for a doctor, banker, therapist, etc than I do a cleaner, binman, nurse, shop assistant, etc. I have found that those in these professional careers or have PhD"s, masters, etc, have poor social skills and not as smart as the title they parade would make you believe.
