Music video by Andy Williams performing Music to Watch Girls By (Audio). (C) 2017 Columbia Records, a division of Sony Music Entertainment vevo.ly/umwmqN
Growing up and coming of age post Vietnam and Watergate, at least I found true love and happiness, my dear partner gone last August. His memory will be my most valuable treasure.
Me, too. I remember watching the Andy Williams show as a teenager and being jealous of Claudine Longet because she was married to him. He had such a lovely voice and this song is very catchy. Oh, and he was really good looking. This brings back happy memories. Thanks so much for posting. ❤
Andy Williams makes it look and sound so easy. One thing is for sure, there will never be another Andy Williams, or at least, during my lifetime. Rest in peace!
Not confirmed. Hundreds of thousand of songs have been made so it's inevitable that certain patterns and/or melodies will be in multiple songs. This one doesn't match up perfectly because there's lots of deviation after the first few notes.
I’ve heard the original (instrumental) and this version. How come this song wasn’t used for a 007 movie? Both the versions? If such movie were to exist, I believe the title should have been “The Love I Lost”.
Class and talent never go out of style. Today's music and musicians can take lessons from this man. Good music and a great time to be alive during that era. Rest in peace, andy.
The boys watch the girls while the girls watch the boys who watch the girls go by Eye to eye, they solemnly convene to make the scene Which is the name of the game, watch a guy watch a dame on any street in town Up and down and over and across, romance is boss Guys talk "girl talk", it happens everywhere Eyes watch girls walk with tender lovin' care It's keepin' track of the fact watching them watching back That makes the world go 'round "what's that sound? Back in the 60s there was a TV commercial that used an instrumental version of 'Girls'. I have always wondered if it was done by Herb Alpert and his TjB, who I was then discovering, enjoying and growing in my love of music with. Mr. Alpert's group was my first favorite. I was around 15, in San Diego, California.

Наконец нашла эту песню. Смотрела флешмоб в Дубаях там первая песня эта Я влюбилась в голос. В 60-х были классные песни и жизнь была спокойней , счастливее.
One of Andy's best. This was the single version. There were somewhat longer versions released. I remember hearing this in my Mom's car at age 8. Loved it then, love it today.
Remember listening to this on the radio in my buddies mums mk2 fiesta on the way taking me an my best friend swimming for the day, some good times hearing this 17years ago, now 25years old, how time flies by!
This is such a cool little song. Fun to play too. Andy's version is one of the definitive ones. I remember this song on the radio a lot when I was about 10 years old. Nice to revisit it as a senior citizen now.

Esta melodía me siguió un día entero desde que desperté. Di mil vueltas porque no sabía la letra. Recordé que en un flash mob de azafatas la había escuchado , y supe la letra para buscarla... todo eso por una tonta canción. 😅
The story (as legend has it): In 1963, with Diet Rite Cola riding the wave of diet sodas, both Coca Cola and Pepsi Cola jumped in with their offerings. Coke brought out TaB cola, Pepsi introduce Patio Cola.TaB succeeded, but patio went nowhere. Pepsi quickly took Patio off the shelves and rebranded it in 1964 as Diet Pepsi. Along with it, they filmed television ads with beautiful women (S-E-X sells) and had a runway hit brand on their hands. The music was by Sid Ramin, lyrics by Tony Velona. Remember the end of the commercial; "someone will be watching".
Should have been a huge hit but only got to number 34 on the billboard charts when initially released and missed out in England completely however thanks to the power of a Fiat commercial hit number 9 in 1999. Thanks to commercials in England a number of hits had success being rereleased . One of the biggest was Perez Prado’s Guaglione . I just love it when great songs get the recognition they deserve ….. eventually .❤
I'm listening. At 59, I remember when there was more class in this world.
Yes, same age here, same feeling, same memory.
