I actually studied maritime studies , l have a license to drive ships. worked on cruise liners, container vessels driving them. quite an interesting but very demanding .

I agree with the lady on how they do interviews. I went to an interview for an agency in Pretoria Lynnwood for the United Emirates.The position was for an onboard technician. I was qualified for the job and aced the interview. I was then called the following day that I didn't make it when I asked the reason the lady simply told me my 4c hair is unprofessional. I didn't understand as I will always be in uniform and head covered 100 %. I was so hurt.

Y’all are making bus wish we were born in this era. I wanted to be an au pair but born before technology there was no information. I saw that interview as well. It would be lovely to hear about Camp Guides or whatever they are called. I remember my younger brother wanted to do that.
Could you list the genuine agencies through which to apply, cause there are many scammers. We were almost scammed. My son got accepted and they wanted us to pay money into their bank account before anything. He got a letter of employment, a travel agency in the UK, he had to pay onto their bank account. When we did some due diligence as to the agency and telephone numbers, we called the company, and they said the contact prs whose details we had, does not work for them and they dont do recruiting for the ships. So we were almost scammed out of 40K!
