- Dr. Jayanthi Kumaresh presents a composition by Thyagaraja titled "Sadhinchane O Manasa", a composition dear to the Veena in general and her lineage in particular. The composition is in Ragam Arabhi in the Tiruvaiyaru Pancharatnam style.
Jayanthi is accompanied by Jayachandra Rao on mridangam and Trichy Krishnaswamy on ghatam. - เพลง

What a day it is for me. I am fortunate enough to get the legendary Veena file on my you tube when I was moving my thumb.
Wonderful. My first trip to India (and, so far, my only, thanks mainly to Covid) was to Pune in Dec 2019 for the amazing classical Indian music festival. Beforehand, I had never heard of the veena. And suddenly this delightful and talented lady appeared on stage, and played this wonderful instrument which I, personally, much prefer to the sitar - more 'my kind of sound'. Thank you for yet another great video.

Great to see Jayanthi back on FEA but fgs she never stops talking during her concerts and doesnt end the pedagogy lol love her anyway!
Her pedagogy at her concerts is one of the things that makes her so special. not everyone knows all about the veena and she explains it all delightfully.
@@shellyspianoyes , you hit on the nail. Veena is the great instrument and Jayanthi clearly elucidated the different styles with respect to origin. Her style is pleasant without any frills bring peace at that very moment. We Indians attribute Veena to Goddess Kalaivani , Saraswathi who bestows knowledge in arts. I wish more such sessions will enable us to understand the insights of Veena. ❤
