I just discovered you through the zines video and I already adore you. In a social-media world full of burned-out, profit-oriented artists you really know how to bring the fun back to the arts! Also incredibly helpful tips
greg, your videos are FANTASTIC!! i just now discovered you but this channel has serious potential! the inspiration and positive vibes, im all here for it!! really hope you come back some day dude.
oh i`m so glad to hear it i just found your video about zines and i need to know detailed how to make themmm gotta draw a collection of stuff i wanna put it in first though i`m thinking cryptids@@GregKletsel
This is so cool! I’m a motion graphics artist who just started contracting full time and I find this really entertaining, I can apply this thought process to character sketches before I model them. Love your art, would be cool to see new content🙏🏽
Amazing work! I love how spontaneous the drawings are, and how the ideas just seem to take on a life of their own because you don't overthink it. Bravo!
Hey Greg! this exercise is great! I always started my drawings on the top left. But thanks to you, I now know that the composition is much better starting with a first drawing through the center. I really like to see how each drawing works on its own and together at the same time ... I already want to see your next video.
your videos are really good and inspiring! wish u upload more! u don't have to upload on a schedule, really great to hear ur thoughts on creating stuff every now and then
I also found you through zine vids! YOU actually introduced me to zines this month, and I’ve already made and started distributing my first one. I didn’t know what to expect from this video, and I certainly didn’t expect SO much good information presented in such a playful way. Thank you for sharing your perspective and expertise with us.
Hey Greg! When I read the title I thought: well, this is more of a “look what I draw” video than anything else, but this is packed with great pieces of advice in just 6 minutes! I love that you truly use the sketchbook as a place to materialize ideas and then work further on the best ones! It’s also very true that when in doubt the best thing is sticking to what we love drawing and for me those are usually floating heads, flowers, 🧳 suitcases and random food! 🌝 Big hug Ben
Thanks Ben! Yep, this exercise is good for further refining things you already like to draw, and then once you're in a flow, you try some new things along the way and make some discoveries. Best of both worlds!
I just want to thank you for all the videos you have made, they are helping me sooooooo much for improve my illustration skills. Also you have become a very inspirational illustrator to me. Thanks again for join TH-cam And let us see some of all your knowledge !! You have to made more videos please!! :)
I came across Mikkeller while in japan a couple months ago and fell in love with the illustrations for their beers. I cant get it where i live, which is disappointing since i liked the ipa a lot. I only picked it up because of the art on the can. Saw your shirt and got excited to see it! I have one mikkeller sticker i got from japan only the 1 craft beer place i could find, and slapped it on my sketchbook when i saw your sketchbook tour. Small world! Great video!
you are a underrated artist. Your videos are really valuable, short concise & gives alot easy, simple tips & tricks to apply. I just founded you yestarday on insta and you have become one of my inspiration. respect from Pakistan
Hey, Greg! You could make a video showing the hybrid process of working, the process from the traditional to the digitalization of your arts. You could make a video giving tips on how to get into the Illustration industry. You are awesome, I love your style! a big hug from Brazil!
hey i just found your channel and you really inspired me to make my zine i hope to see more from you in the future!!! like with tutorials and your step by step in making zines
Greg come back. I found this channel a few months ago & never paid attention to the dates so i assumed it was a really new channel that just started.. i came back today to see if you have uploaded and realized all of these videos were posted 2 years ago….. i want more content greg please
Seems like every time you make overlapping lines that are in conflict, you just cheat the situation by filling it with black. I'm gonna steal this technique as I regularly forget to do big black shapes in my line arts. Thanks!
I struggle as someone who mostly draws anime and find it challenging to branch out. With animes, I can draw what I see in my head mostly okay, but outside of anime, it's not easy. How do you branch out of animes and do these kinds of drawings with ease? Just practice?
I started out from a similar place, drawing what was comfortable for me. As I developed my portfolio, I realized I was responsible for my entire visual world, so I had to draw lots of new things and have them match my style. I think you can have an anime style that is uniquely yours.
@@GregKletsel but don't u think drawing something other than anime can stimulate your creative mind more for more ideas? Is it counterintuitive? Like, I wanna do this activity u have, I think it's so fun. But, I feel like I'll just end up having animes fill the page, but I wanna draw cartoon-ish stuff. I'm sorry I'm confusing TnT (Thank u for replying though omg I ddnt expect it)

Greg, tell us something about storytelling or communication. Becoming more surrealism and abstract.
Want more. Please.

I usually assume the worst happened. After some searching, he seems to be posting to his other socials like Twitter.
What do you usually sketch with?
