Thanks Joel for letting us in to the heart of Sekou. Amazing interview and for letting us into what makes him who he is and all he brings to Big Wreck. ❤️🔥🇨🇦
Joel, I really enjoyed your Mastery Podcast with Sekou, Gordie Johnson, and most recently Chris Cadell. I'm a huge fan of both Big Sugar and Big Wreck, and I saw Big Wreck at the Bronson Centre show in February 2023 (I believe you were there?),and again in April 2023 in Brampton. I had the pleasure of meeting the band at the Brampton show VIP event, and had the chance to chat with Sekou for a few minutes about recording a separate track for the cymbals on Thornley's Come Again LP. We shared a laugh about that! I also had a few minutes to chat with the Ultimate Canadian Guitar Master and Virtuoso: Ian Thornley. This brings me to of course my question: Are you actively working on securing Ian for an interview on to the Mastery Podcast? Your +2 hour format would be really conducive for a in-depth conversation with Ian. I think I've seen every interview with Ian Thornley available on TH-cam, and usually I'm left disappointed by the same bad questions they typically ask (ie., "did you know you sound like Chris Cornell?"). Like you hasn't heard that been asked a thousand times. I think you could bring an interview with Ian to the next level! You've now had both Sekou and Chris Cadell on the show, so it's only right you bring on the rest of band, Ian and Dave McMillan to complete the loop. In any event, I really appreciate these full length interviews you're doing, the research you put in to it, as well as seeking out quotes from those who have worked or crossed paths with the artists. Great stuff! Thanks again.
Loved this, Sekou is such a great soul and energy.
