Mortal Kombat does an amazing job with all the guest characters in terms of characterization and lore. Brief moments and lines of Spawn, Joker and T-800 are choke full of references!

The Mortal Kombat Universes can be traveled to. As Spawn has the ability and Hell is basically an interdimensional gateway. Plus Spawn meeting Batman is also canon in my book. Regardless what DC says.
