“Yoongi” is pronounced with a hard “G” sound, same as in “Suga”. What’s really funny is that Suga has a female alter ego named “Yoonji”, with a soft “J” sound. “Yoonji” showed up for the first time in Run BTS Ep 11 and has been a running joke for Suga ever since

There's BTS songs that I'm not a fan of and others that I listen to on repeat. That's what I like about their discography. Something for everyone.
I dig their personalities and personal interactions the most.
I think they hit a good balance of making me want to see them off stage and on stage.

then there are those songs that u weren't feeling before but after seeing it live you find a new appreciation. Or songs that takes a few listens before it finally clicks. on my first listen to Mono, it didn't connect with me, but after I moved to a different city and was alone most times, Mono became my most played and soundtrack to my new life.

I like that you are honest about how you can appreciate a song for its qualities even if it isn’t your personal jam. Between BTS and the solo works there’s more than 300 songs across a ton of genres and topics. It’s unreasonable to expect people to like 100%. One of my few skips in their discography is really popular in the fandom and I just keep that to myself bc I know some ARMYs would revoke my ARMY pass if they knew. LOL. I think your honestly gives you more credibility, and I appreciate it!

Yea I think that’s the brand I’ve tried to build. You know when you come see my reactions. I will be honest about how I really feel about the music. Bringing a honest approach to this with no malice or hate when I don’t like it was the only small niche I saw available in doing reactions period. So this song is only on my one playlist called "energetic songs", and it is there bc honestly it get lost between all this hype songs, so I was like "ahh I don't listen to this song, ahh I will put it on this playlist I probodly won't even notice but I will still support" yeah, my thinking...

I appreciate your honesty when you react--there are a lot of BTS reaction channels where you can tell they're over-hyping how they like a song bc they want ARMY to agree with them and give them more likes and whatnot, and I can't get down with that. Shhhhhhhhhh, I'll tell you a secret...(there are some BTS and solo songs that...I don't really care for 😱🤯😳). For example, I was pumped that the vocal line was doing a collab with Snoop this past summer, and it came out and was just, I don't know...kind of a let down (song is Bad Decisions). And I'm no fair weather casual fan, I'm ARMY to the core. No one can be all things to all people, and hey, you like what you like. Thanks for keeping it honest.
Yea when I started reactions that was my biggest concern. We’re those channels that Overhype things or have big fake energy. My personal beliefs and personality just couldn’t do that. So I was worried no one would enjoy my videos or perspective. You all and so many others on other videos and genres have really given me a big lift and I appreciate you all.
I’m worried about that snoop song. His international features seem to be underwhelming to say the least.

Ohhh girl I feel you, like I forget this song exist and I only remember when someone is talking about it. It was big let down, mostly bc there was big hype around it, and I think I thought it would be different style song, not only vocal line, then when we got info it is vocal line I actually couldn't image it bc Snoop there too, but I didn't know this Benny Blanco guy, so I think this song it totally his style, but our vocal line still sounds great like I can't say anything bad about it. So the song didn't really click and is very repeative. Ah honestly I think if it would be BTS song, like their team made it plus Snoop it would be something better, but I agree with Jurnalist that Snoop international feat are usually weak, so hard to say how it would go, ah Snoop, I have to say that his second vers is like 100% better then first... When he come on song for first time I was so shooked "like what?", but second time was cheesy but it was ok. But still ehhhhhh.
So I listen to it sometimes, bc when I have this feel for something different then I play my playlist "BTS collabs" and have it there.
And BTS have some really good international collabs and feature (My universe was such nice meeting of artists, Danger I love Thanh feature on it, Steve Aoki, Lauv, Chainsmokers, even short guest time from Megan on Butter was actually fun, could be better but it was fun), so it is a little sad bc most of mix songs, still are very in middle (and we simply don't talk about Sia, it didn't happened xD) ...
Ahh for example Suga work... I really love his song with Halsey like I feel it so much and I listen almost everyday to his collab with Juice Wrld. Blueberry eyes is not my style but still good song. His collabs are great, korean too obviously.
RM collabs are nice too, tho He have mostly korean collabs and I have a feel that korean always are good (XD), but yeah song with Wale is grest, his remixes of international songs are good and fun to listen.
Also JK Left and Right with Charlie, I didn't think much about it but for me it is better then Bad decision, and it suprised me in good why, even tho it is simply song.
And songs with Charli xcx and Lara like this are soo good but also I feel like hidden too good. Ah.

Feel the total opposite haha! Agust D was my entry point to his discography and the rapline, super early on into my BTS journey, I heard that James Brown sample, the drop, saw he produced it himself, I didn't know he could get down like that and I was sold! And then the cadences, the lyrics got me on a chokehold for months and it's the song that made me take the rapline seriously and broke that language barrier of "it's Korean rap it sounds a bit off".
But Agust D is much more angsty than D2, he was 3 years into BTS and had lots of things to say and times were hard! They were in a really different place. He didn't clear the sample so it's not available on streaming platforms and Big Hit didn't put their trademark at the beginning of the video if you noticed (many people thought it was he did a middle finger)...
Anyways tmi.. lot of emotional attachment for me especially because of the song The Last on this mixtape...
Quite different from D2 but hope you'll enjoy the rest!

And changing song and remixing it can be different bc remix that in the end give the same song but a little different like "fixed" bc now I lerned new skills thst would fit here or doing this bc my thinking about music or the sound I like changed . I really like the song and the James Brown sample he's using ^^ maybe that's the reason I fell in love the first time. But it's understandable that you vibe more to this or that song all in all. I really like all BTS songs, but some are not "favorite" tier ;) and not all have to be "best song ever" for everyone or anyone ^^

Yeah like some people said Yoongi is with hard G like in Suga, Gucci or grape, but it is for more for us, not korean speaking people, bc in korean you actually use sound [kg] or [gk] it is short sound. The same is with JK, his name Jungkook, here K is like that too like [kg] - junggug, but really here you hear both k and g, when korean person is speaking.
It is bc in korean you don't have some sounds so they sound like two mashed together to us bc we have both this sound sepret in alphabet.
I think korean person would better explain it, but I think You simply need to know that this is short hard G sound and it will be correct.
My train of thought while reviewing the lyrics again - this man is such a savage in his lyrics...but then in real life he's such a sweetheart and very shy. It's baffling how they are the same people sometimes.

So I see people recommending first love from the wings album in the comments.
But that just feels incomplete. Cus the album is very cohesive and if you don't get recommended the entire album,.... you will never be find these songs being recommended later.
I want you to know that there are 7 solo songs in the WINGS album plus many other songs..
In the same order as in the album:
1. Begin by jk
2. Lie by jimin
3. Stigma by v
4. First love by suga
5. Reflection by rm
6. Mama by jhope
7. Awake by jin
There are 7 solo songs like these also In the love Yourself album series and the map of the soul albums. These songs are written for the bts album and have cohesive but personal themes that run through each.
So it would be weird to pick out solo songs from these albums and listen to it and not know the context behind the album and the song.
Maybe bts albums should be explored separately later on or something. Just giving a heads up.
