- The Department of Transportation under Dept. Secretary Arthur Tugade with Philippine National Railways (PNR) has upgraded the Philippine rail system with new railcars from PT Inka of Indonesia and more trains by next year from ZhuZhou of China for the Bicol transport system.

The units given to them are mostly substandard and underwhelming that's why they keep on coming back to their railroad side shanties. They need proper transportation network that would link their relocation site to major cities and also need livelihood program to encourage them to stay permanently at their relocation units

Only thing missing is to build up walled fences on the train tracks to keep people out from it, as well as to modernize the train stations. It just looks weird seeing those trains use the damn railroad when everything looks like its the post apocalypse. As much as how much heart I can put on to the people living close to the tracks for decades, understand that these trains can't just be blocked nor stopped because they're among the country's vital components of keeping the economy going. Like highways, railroads connect other communities to each other, which bolsters the exchange of investment and opportunities, one that was severely lacking from the past few decades.

Nasa test run pa yung DOST hybrid train. Just search sa TH-cam from ted Failon dzmm. Dotr will not certify the hybrid train kung hindi ma complete yung 150hrs test run. Remember the DOST hybrid train was originally design for "road train/bus train" during the time of pnoy, Hindi applicable sa daan sa manila at cebu dahil maliit ang daan. Kaya, ang ginawa ng DOST ay ginawa nilang train diyan sa PNR.
