If I was builder, building for the long term. I wouldn't take any less then BFT or even better ABFT for a security. You need stable foundation to build on.

Not really, it's uptime is over 99% and hasn't had any security issues in a long time. Fast and inexpensive and much more mature plus people actually use it.
What recent hacks? There are no recent ones to my knowledge. Some early ones a long time ago but nothing recent or even fairly recently There has been some downtime, it's small overall but it does need to be addressed and they are working on finding the issues and removing them Solana takes the maximum protection option when an issue crops up. Solana makes the decision to stop its blockchain if an issue is detected rather than keep running and sort out the suspect transactions later Long term they do need to fix the downtime but solana is still technically in beta
ETH is just too expensive to transact on. SOL too centralized, gets outraged and hacks, no thanks. Render could have picked a better chain. Also $1000+ SOL Android phone, not a chance. Maybe like $500-$600 tops. Its not an IPhone ok.
Solana does have teething issues, but it's got a bright future, IMO! With the Google incorporation happening wnd of 23 into 24, it's definitely one to watch. My phone gets delivered next week, hopefully it's worth the cost
