They have all kind of genres.. From teenage to old age, everyone can watch based on their interest... And the watch time is also manageable... Mostly 16 ep 1 hr each..
Whereas Indian serials last for years and years.. Almost all of them have similar plots... And the way they potray their FL, not a single girl can relate to them and wants to see themselves in that place.. But we can relate to Kdrama or atleast want to live that live.. Being born in India, and being an Indian, absolutly doesn't means that if we are watching k dramas or BTS, we hate India, just like "no matter you love pizza, but it doesn't means you won't love anything else, and I guess their are many examples when it comes to this, Ofc we like it because we find it interesting, enjoy doing so, and personally I find it a good thing because I get to know a lot of things, Reading subtitles are improving my English, I get to learn a new language and the fact that I get motivated seeing the content where they usually succeed after so much of struggle, and yes, If you guys want to watching an Indian Serial, or a south Movie, I wont Deny that as everyone has their own choice and perspectives, also Being a huge fan of K dramas, I too love to watch Indian Movies , and as said " people will only hate but they can't own" so this is the case with haters, especially Kpop haters

And my mom ask me which country this song is from their language and those infrastructure, looks I thought this maybe some Chinese song but definitely Asian. I don't even know there is a country name Korea 🇰🇷 with rich history, tradition, culture, food and people.
Then in 2017 being feed up with our long indian stupid illogical nonsensical drama I told my mom just stop it and watch something new and there was a channel ZEE ZINDAGI and we started watching Turkish, Ukrainian and pakistani drama🎭 and we do enjoy it.
then we show the announcement of "Descendent of the sun" I was not very impress at 1st but anyway my sister just force me to watch it by saying "How dare you touch the remote Now it's my time to watch T.V".
Helpless me watch it and it's blow up my mind I instantly became the fan ofthe song jong ki, and shinee onew we watch it and love it.
later one more drama they announced that was " Boys over flowers " Me, mom, and sister was scream loud yes one more Korean drama and before they telecast they announced closing of Zee zindagi that was exactly 1july 2017 they closed it and that was the same date of BOF telecast date later I heard the announcement of OTT platform OZee
I remember internet in India that time was expensive ( thank you Reliance Jio for cheap internet) and i can't afford it 🤔 so i heck wifi of my neighbor it was too buffering but we watch the drama and Korea wave 🌊👋 hit us hard and since then we are watching only korean drama

Also Gangam Style became an instant meme escalated by Multiplayer mode of latest video game at that time
*Call Of Duty:Black Ops II* and it was such a hit that a famous TH-camr named "Lhugueny" made a tribute of that meme and made a Musical of it

Man, KPOP was already popular even before BTS. Its just that American media never wrote or spoke about it. The truth is BTS seized the opportunity when One Direction ended.
