Exploring Nawalgarh with a Local-An Unforgettable Experience|Ep-13|Bansidhar Bhagat & Morarka Haveli

After an insightful first half at the Dr. Ramnath Podar Haveli and Museum, Nawalgarh, we were casually walking down the streets admiring the frescoes on the walls of Nawalgarh's numerous havelis. We stopped by Morarka haveli Museum when this lean, unassuming, humble gentleman approached us. He tells us that on seeing us walking the streets with camera and GoPro, he presumed that we were tourists visiting the area. India was then grappling with the challenges of the COVID pandemic and was seeing a lean tourist season overall. On spotting us exploring the Morarka Haveli, this gentleman couldn't help introducing himself to us and mention his illustrative career as a local guide. This is Sheru Bhai! He expressed his desire to show us around Nawalgarh, and it was an unforgettable experience. Since it was not a formal guided tour, we got to chat with him and the haveli caretakers at a leisurely pace about the town as well as the numerous frescoes that adorn the havelis.
