UNAPOLOGETICALLY Grading Ash Ketchum's Gym Battles!

I'd rank them from best to worst like this...
1. Ash vs Misty - Even without Pikachu, Pidgeotto nearly knocked Starmie out. It makes sense he'd be able to do the same when Staryu was sent back out, plus he still had Butterfree. With Pikachu, the winner becomes even more definite.
2. Ash vs Koga - Their first battle was interrupted but the second was won fair and square.
3. Ash vs Lt. Surge - He lost the first round but learned from this stepping stone and came back to win with speed and strategy.
4. Ash vs Blaine - I'd rank this higher if it weren't for the fact Charizard was acting on his own, though he did listen to Ash's command on Sciesmic toss.
5. Ash vs Erika - This goes here by default of the other 3 being worse. Plus he managed to faint one of her Pokémon.
6. Ash vs Brock - He really had no chance here. Brock technically fainted Pikachu before the sprinklers.
7. Ash vs Sabrina - He lost 3 times in a row and his only hope was in Haunter who he didnt even catch and was weak to psychic anyway.
8. Ash vs Giovanni? This fight actually didn't even happen since Jesse and James were substitute for Giovanni.

Erika should have kept a closer eye on her assistants, banning Ash from a battle like that. It would have given her a bad name in from of the Indigo League. She should have gotten mad at them for acting out on their own without her permission.
