We had a lovely festive weekend. A nice little calm after the storm that was that week. I should have elaborated a bit more on the interesting little Christmas tradition. My mic is not working. Essentially, saint Nicolaus comes to bring gifts for the kids, but before they can receive them he reads off what they did well and not so well this past year. The man next to him is a threat to put them in the sack but there are only the gifts in there of course. I did not share too much for the kids privacy. It was a little intense but the gentlemen were very funny and the kids quickly warmed up to them. Daily Updates On Instagram: instagram.com/daniellezav...
Lol that Nikolaus, he was hardcore. Never heard a German one speaking 🙈🤭 And that cute baby Darien pic at the end. Also shame you did not have a savoury langosh (langoš in Czech), with garlic and "cheese" or ketchup, those are the best. It looked kinda painful having to deal with that berry sauce...hope you managed haha. But I'd love that on a pancake. Love German Christmas markets, but unfortunately none for me this year...
He was so tall and with quite a deep intimidating voice! That berry sauce really was not ideal. Yummy but stressy! The savory ones did look delish. Garlic would be nice. It was dessert time. Maybe I will try a vegan savory option next time. How come you cant go to the market?
@@DanielleBabyBliss Yes, surely they make one with vegan grated cheese and vegan tartar sauce. Well I have to go to that health institute daily till 22nd of December so no energy and time for markets. But we still have nice Czech ones, hopefully I'll pop in those at least for a bit xx
Such a sweet video! I love seeing other country's traditions! My husband is part German so I like to tell him what I learn from you :) Hope you are having a nice day!
Uuhh Langos with a lot garlic is the best and the skewers were bigger as the kids hihihi. Looked like a lot of fun there. Some chocolate for mommy?? St. Nikolaus was there, hopefully everyone was nice all over the year, otherwise Knecht Ruprecht is coming to get you.
You are not the first one to say get it with garlic in the comments. I will have to try that next time. I always get the sweet ones. I got to sample a lot of chocolate and chose a few. Luckily no kids were sacked. 😂 All safe and in school today.
@@DanielleBabyBliss you have to try them in Vienna. It's really good, they offer different ones, but garlic is necessary, no matter what you like to do afterwards.
Who are the men who came to address the kids? is it a neighborhood kind of thing with volunteers or do parents hire actors? lol, looks very fun and interesting:) Happy holidays from California.

Hi Leah. They were some parents in the neighborhood who volunteered. They are having a busy December 😊😂
It’s amazing Santa has that much time for an interrogation!
