Dar es Salaam, a major city and commercial port on Tanzania’s Indian Ocean coast, grew from a fishing village. The open-air Village Museum has re-created the traditional homes of local and other Tanzanian tribes and hosts tribal dancing. It’s part of the National Museum, which offers Tanzanian history exhibits, including the fossils of human ancestors found by anthropologist Louis Leakey

Kenya is just full of braggadocio and ujuaji mob but honestly Tanzania is more organized and planned than one can imagine....Keep up keeping up our good neighbors.
Thnkyuuu neighbour
From the view of your text you can't miss to be a Tanzanian
@@martinstarford6209 😆😆😆 Am 100% bonafide Kenyan FYI!
@@lenniefei6710 then don't bring war where unexpected
@@martinstarford6209 war tena??!!! Where is this coming from?!!
I'm Kenyan but I was born here while my parents worked as expatriates. I still have my Tanzania birth certificate and this city means a lot to me.
Woow! How does it feel to be a Kenyan living in Tanzania?
Hi
@@LIVKENYAhi
I just discovered your channel. Tanzania is a very beautiful country. What I liked that the country is organized and the Tanzanians are adorable, kind and friendly. 1 month spent in this beautiful country, from Zanzimbar, Daressalam via Arusha to Moshi... only beautiful surprises. I recommend it if you have the opportunity.
I will try that route next time
Asante sana ,dada mpendwa
According to Wikipedia; Historical linguists do not consider the Arabic influence on Swahili to be significant, since Arabic influence is limited to lexical items, most of which have been borrowed only since 1500, whereas the grammatical and syntactic structure of the language is typically Bantu. *We must refrain from basking in the perceived glow of our oppressors, we must take pride in what overwhelmingly defines us, our Africaness*
Very true
Once guaranteed to visit twice..
Tanzania is more than a country.it is a feeling..from the city structure, food, people, love for foreigners black or white...oceans, wildlife, airport, bridges, etc Tanzania is magical... Tanzania is pure orgasm daily
Dar is definitely cleaner and more beautiful than Nairobi. Also more organized. Matatu cartels would never let an idea like the BRT buses flourish
Tanzania much love from your brother Kenya
Karibu sana brother
It’s name “ Dar es salam “ means heaven of peace. And it mean it 👍
*Haven
House of peace, that's what it mean if you translate in Arabic دار السلام
haven
Dar is beautiful! The bridge and BRT wish we saw more of those too..but overall👌👌👌the video was great.
Thank you. I will consider your suggestions next time I return to Dar
We have 6 phases 2 is ready 1 is under constration all is coming in 2025.
@@misschagga8042 I honestly don't see that happening. .where is phase 1 and 2? Pls don't say Thika rd cz there is no way that's anything
Dar es Salaam city is organized. Congratulations from a Kenyan.
Yes it is
In terms of public transport and cleanliness, Tz is ahead of kenya tbh.
Hey Liv, nice content there. Thanks for showing us some parts of Dar that other media resources they do not show us.
Welcome Patrick. It was a pleasure to tour the Coastal City
Nice content but I recommend you to visit the Kigamboni archipelago through the Nyerere bridge it's in dar and the most beautiful bridge in sub sahara
Woow! I like this idea
Your Brother here from Zimbabwe 😊...thanks girls..I plan to travel from Zim to Dar next year!! #road trip #new Sub!
Your welcome
Wow 😲 thank you for sharing this beautiful and amazing video 🔥💙💙
Welcome
Am a kenyan and was in Darsalaam December 2023, and i can say Darsalaam is just the place to be. Kenya will soon be overtaken by Tz in almost every aspect.
I'm impressed as a Kenyan, Dar is super clean compared to cities in Kenya. I didn't see any sea weeds on the beach. Kenya needs to learn from TZ and Rwanda about cleanliness and order.
You are a mad individual
@@natureworld295 your the one who sound more like the mad one😁😁😁😂😂😂
Tell them... Although they will not understand you now, but soon they will.
Dar is not just a 19minute footage, she just showed the good areas because she's a tourist.
@@jaro5603 You'll definitely see trash on a 15 minute video of Nairobi's cbd, or see weeds on a nice beach in Kenya.
Proudly Tanzanian. I miss Dar a lot. Thank you for the video
Welcome
This city is better planned, organised, orderly, cleaner, less congested and more beautiful than Nairobi
😂😂😂😂 I wouldn't compare it to Nairobi. Nairobi is Nairobi
😂 , you wish , on the ground things are different
Compare that to this 👇

After watching the vedio I'm wondering what you were talking about , all I see is white roads 😂

Dar looks more organized than Nairobi. We need lessons on planning.
Really??!!! Kenya is a super disorganized country thanks to our careless attitude right from the schools to the offices !
Trust me I’m Tanzanian, Kenya is way more organized than TZ!
NAIROBI KENYA is organized its just that some areas look underdeveloped or not well done but Dar is organized too
😂😁
@@lenniefei6710 Show me one disorganized school and Office you brat 🥱
I have family in Dar. Nice place to be.🇹🇿👍
Yes it is a great place
Hello' Kenyan 1st. Seeing ur video it's 11/3/23 I see this was a year ago. But! Enjoyed seeing u drive through the city streets. It's helps us Americans to view ur city through ur eyes 👀. I was glad that u stopped at the beach. It was nice to see. I live on the coast in North Carolina by the beach and I love it. I'm African American and I'm 67yrs. Young. I gave ur video a Like and I also Subscribed. So I will' Def check out ur other videos to see more of ur Country. It's beautiful so far. God! is good Be Blessed 🙏🏽🙏🏽💜

U should drive to Morocco en then to makumbusho and don't forget Mlimani city, thank you for the video
I will the next time I return. That's for the suggestion
Don't forget mikocheni and mbezi beach
Next time drive to Kunduchi and Bahari Beach scenic roads nice foliage.
I should make it clear beacuse most of us are making this mistake over and over again. Swahili is never Arabic. Swahili is a purely Bantu language with some borrowed vocabularies from mostly Arabic the English, few german and Indians. Intergration of these vocubaliries has never altered the pure Bantu Morphology, Syntax, and phonology....But I enjoyed the video by way amazing camera angles.
Karibu tena ni nyumbani sasa❤
SIMPLY PUT.TANZANIA IS VERY BEAUTIFUL 😍❤. EXCELLENT VLOG 👏WOOW.
Very! I always feel heartbroken leaving this city

Visit Tanzania malls
I actually did but didn't record. I will record next time
This is the kind of adventure I would wish to experience with a camera.
What if you split your videos eg.
Focus on mode of transport/ infrastructure
Trade/ Business & Markets
Language, culture and Traditions
Tourist attraction sites.
Ndio uwe na video mingi from one town.
I wish to meet you one day.
Brilliant idea
Your intelligent and honest TH-camr
it`s been a while since I was in DAR (as Tanzanians like to call it)but it`s one of those places I`d really love to visit again (but for a longer period, not just a few days)I subscribed to follow your journey as I also loved your Kenyan journey as it was really complete(not the quick done videos some do show)
Thank you Rika
Yes it's one of those places that you leave a little piece of your heart
Your videos and and how you deliver is on top notch...keep it up Jaber.
Thank you James
mombasa is another version of dar es salaam.......dar city center is not conjested but kariakor side is congested......the streets of dar city center doesnt look like a town. they look like residential areas......and too much dust in dar
Thank my fellow youtuber, to show so of Kenyans in tiktok they are busy abuses our country by saying Nairobi is far ten times compare to Dar so umewasaidia sana upate nafasi next time come to the Morogoro the big region is one of 30 region in our country I will host you I'm a youtuber too💞💞💞🇹🇿🇹🇿🇹🇿💃💃💃
When they say Nairobi is ahead of Dar , this is what they mean th-cam.com/video/VNLqnwoJqmM/w-d-xo.html
Talk with the local of Dar we want to hear them
I was here last week n I loved the city...the Tanzanite bridge was the highlight. I also love that Tz people are so friendly n kind. Loved their bus transport means..seams orderly. will definitely go back! Keep doing the good work LivKenya
Thank you Catherine. Indeed there is alot to uncover in Tanzania.
@Annie M 🤔🤔🙄
it's like dar is more beautiful than Nairobi though Nairobi looks green dar is far developed than our Mombasa shame on Mombasa
According to the world bank, Nairobi's GDP alone is 54 billion dollars, Dar is around 26 billion dollars, and Mombasa is at 12 billion dollars. This is as of 2021. Mombasa is however richer than Dodoma
Nice comparison @Ndegwa Mugo
How can you compare our second largest city to Tanzania's largest city , shame on your low reasoning power 😒 And btw Mombasa's port is twice as large as the one in Dar , infact the shame is on Dar , it gave it's container loading activities to a private company TICTS since it was broke. Shame indeed
On the contrary, mombasa has better infrastructure
@@ndegwamugo9304 Wrong figures. Nairobi GDP is about $30bn according to KNBS
Tz on on this Channel..just flip LiV kenya tours of the two cities..Nai and Dar
Uko shallow, sana next tyme look for people who knows this place better,
Either hauna masikio or you didnt hear her say she tried getting someone local but hakufanikiwa
Take home message from TZ to Kenya - 1. Ufisadi tuache ama tupunguze 2. Cleaning our streets!
I concur
Hi , Asking do they rent monthly house in this twin tower building where you staying ?
And if than how much ?
You just visited less than 0.1 of Dar es salaam. Dar is huge. It has 5 Districts.
1. Ilala
2. Kinondoni
3. Temeke
4. Ubungo
5. Kigamboni
You visited only few parts of Ilala.
Going by this: The built up area of Nairobi Metro is far larger than Dar.
Huku unasema ni vijijini vya Dar na Nairobi haina vijiji kila mahali panafana na posta yenu
Dar is much bigger than Nairobi.
I am watching from India. looking very nice areas
I don't think you can compare Dar and Nairobi. Two different approaches. Dar looks more like what Mombasa could end up looking like if managed well.
💯%
In real to compare dar and Mombasa is insane and sometimes we should learn to appreciate without comparing because every city got its strength and weaknesses/challenges which aren't similar for instance Nairobi need more of flyovers and overpasses than dar due to fact dar is twice big than nai so to decongest nai needs more expressways , bridges/overpasses/flyovers and interchanges but in case of dar is just need sum few flyover/bridges /overpasses and interchanges and all five brt phases to be done then dar will be easy passable, and other cases and these are for both cities is to maintain cleanliness, walkways and wastewater channels and enough recreational areas so to maintain class city status
@@johnmlay4759 I wouldn't quite say it's insane to compare two coastal cities.
@@johnmlay4759 When it comes to recreation Nai takes it , Uhuru and Central Park are two very modern urban parks in Nairobi CBD , I've seen nothing like an urban park in Dar
@@johnmlay4759 apart from the BRTs and the tall buildings in dar e salaam CBD, there is no much difference between Mombasa and dar es salaam. It even emerges that Mombasa is cleaner and with better roads.
Msimbazi Street, Home of Wekundu wa Msimbazi,Simba Sports Club
Beautiful city, planning my tour in Tanzania
Hi liv make a trip to Serengeti please
It looks TZ they good roads and bridges
Yes they do
Please keep up the friend ship that exist between our two countries

2.terminal 3(new airport)
3.kijazi interchange
4.SGR station
5.brt system(from city center to kimara almost 23 km)
6.mlimani city mall
7.new city(city center to Menge)(new buildings)
8.tandale,mwananyamala(if you want somewhere were people who spent less than a $ live)
Kenya today exports gemstone and diamonds, gold...
But they have no mine in Kenya? Police case!
This is inaccurate

Wuuuuueeeehhhh, my dear, kumbe unakuanga huku. Excellent
Better looking than Nairobi
I wouldn't compare the 2 cities because one is a coastal city and the other is a capital city. However it is much cleaner than Nairobi
It's better in terms of cleanliness but Development, you wish th-cam.com/video/VNLqnwoJqmM/w-d-xo.html
