Let Tzar Can take over and only recruit Black Arks. Black ark lords are the only lords who will not deffect and the fact that the Broken Island province is mostly harbors means that Black Ark lords can defend them. Army build? 1 Phaliaus Darkblade (With the Sword of Khaine Dominating and not the Warpsword) 1 Regiment of renown chariot that is Anti large 1 Cold one Chariot 1 Regiment of renown Blood Queen's executioners 1 Regiment of Renown Red Siren with a follower that gives stalk and snipe (assigned in one of the Tzar Can quests.) 2 Har Ganeth Executioners 1 Regiment of Renown Raven Herelds 1 Sorceress (Fire for AOE incase infantry is up the ass) 1 Sorceress (Shadow for buffs for Phaliaus) 2 Black Guards of Nagorond And the rest Bolt Claw throwers The strategy is to let the artilliary do its work and the chariots harras or do counter artilliary while phalliaus murders everything while having artilliary support. It is smart to also give him the healing potion for longer sustainabillity. The reason for why he should have Khaine's blade instead of Worpsword is so he can kill off single entity targets easily. He's already pretty good against infantry mobs so let kim kill big things too.
That is accurate to the campaign I just did. I was literally at war with every faction adjacent to me at one point, and I didn’t declare war on any of them myself.

They're not as bad as people say they are when you use them the way they're supposed to be, people just don't bother trying to flank, and the gobbo-wave attacks when you get a shitload of armies stacked up on a city is quite satisfying

My first campaign in TWW was with Karl Franz, like every other decent person. However, my second one was with Skarsnik, and it was a blast. I managed to keep most of my first army for the majority of the playthrough, challenging freaking Kholek with golden chevrons gobbos and hiking my way to Karak Eight Peaks (because I didn't know you could cross the sea) like a green mean Hannibal crossing the Alps and confederating the Grimgor, which led me to a war with basically half the continent. Then I didn't recruit Orcs because come on, if I wanted to play Orcs I'd be playing Wurrzag. Best campaign ever 10/10. Gobboz rule.
I've been playing TWW since the first game released.... I didn't play as Karl Franz even once until the Empire update in TWW2 (first guy I played as was Mannfredd Von Carstein but Skarsnik was the first campaign I ever actually finished)
Long time Total War fan, and it was my first introduction to the Warhammer universe... In about 4 years of playing, the only time I've played a human faction was the Wulfhart campaign. And I only played that for about an hour. I just can't play humans in the only Total War that has dinosaurs and dwarves and stuff.
The only reason I play Karl Franz more than Gelt is because you can't change Gelts Elector Count Position if you play as the golden order. And I want him in Wissenland to get the best artillery possible. But Bretonnia is still the better human faction. For ze lady!
I remember listening to this for the first time when I misheard a description, and was very disappointed to learn Skarsnik didn't run around with a giant land dwelling squid.
I can't believe for how long I haven't watched any of this series because of its title. I don't believe I've ever seen a title downplaying it self that much. This isn't only for Total War Noobs. @@lilwater7358 That's an ability by Night Goblin fanatics. It's very short range and spreads like a tear shaped cone spell for other factions heroes and lords. Basically get a Night Goblin Fanatic into a melee with a lot of troops, use their ability and watch the bodies go flying and that one unit getting 200+ kills.

Skarsnik is hilarious in WH1 where heroes can still assassinate lords. You start out every fight with enemy army without a lord because you already stab the sucker to oblivion and you can win the campaign by just send your best gobbo boss to shank the Neverchosen.
I demand a redo of this video for when the Greenskin update comes out. For the most part it should still be the same but I would like to see some insights how the greenskin mechanics effect Skarsniks campaign. If you don't I will be severely disappointed.
When I play skarsnik I just send weak gobo melee units first then just pelt my enemies with poison tip arrows, I get about to armies just stacked with either night goblin archers or arty units. Works like a charm.

Skarsnik can actually recruit orcs before getting eight peaks. If you conquer territories like Galbaraz, you can get access to savage orcs.
