Steven Wilson is a gift to humanity.
While Ninet Tayeb...less so. My goodness...to foist her on us is curiously needless.
@@christopherp.hitchens3902 Are you trolling, what.
@@christopherp.hitchens3902, what didn't you like about it? I thought her performance was a beautiful addition and counterpoint to Steven's perspective.
@@andrewjones7699 - Steve’s musical genius stands all on its own. I am always rather perplexed when I sign up for one particular talent… and I get another. Like having to take Yoko Ono in order to have John Lennon. Or, if you want David Gilmour…you have to take his wife, Polly Samson! What is this nonsense? I’m a journalist…and if I turned over the creative process to my wife…I’d lose my career the next day.
I suspect what’s really going on is that Wilson is farming out some of the work to others, while he keeps himself busy remixing and doing just about EVERYTHING ELSE in the world of technology. He is an amazing human being.
I would love to one day share a dinner with him and have a long talk about music. Ninet Tayeb? No thanks!

"Being alone now it doesn't bother me, but not knowing if you are, well that's been hell you see" - I relate to this so much. Thank you, Steven Wilson and Ninet Tayeb.
I first heard this song back in 2017. In 2016 I developed end stage renal disease. In 2017 I was diagnosed with bladder cancer. I was in dialysis when I first heard this song. I couldn't help but break down. The best part of my life was getting to see Steve Wilson live. Such a cathartic experience.
Hello, not wanting to be nosey, but how are you now? I hope you are better now, I am keeping you in my prayers.
Hi I wanna know if you’re okay too
😒
stay strong my friend
I'm cancer free. Still waiting for a transplant. Thanks for the concern. ❤
Ninet's voice isn't only heard, it's felt.
Facts 😄
She is one of those voices that when used in songs she was not originally part of, said song is exponentially superior to the original; even if said song was amazing to begin with. Ninet is a GEM!!!
Try che Aimee dorval
"I'm tired of everyone, and that includes myself." This is the most unselfish, sincere statement I've heard.
It's mostly a poetic way of describing depression imho
A very unique and indescribable emotion..!!!!
Are you sure this is unselfish? Because I keep saying that and still people think I'm selfish. My life is going through a lot right now.
@Mr X like that animals cover art
@Mr X have heard parabola
How many tears has this tune wrought? My tired eyes have lost count. SO CATHARTIC.
Been suffering of depression and loneliness for some years now and finally beginning too feel a bit better. Just wanted to express my love for Steven Wilson and his music, really resonates deeply with my heart. Love you Steven
Glad you are getting well...I think a lot of us are struggling...❤
Stay strong, life can be beautiful even in the darkest moments ❤
backis5377 - What is this? Increasingly there’s this curious CONFESSIONS HOUR with folks describing their feelings of inadequacy, depression and “loneliness”. Do they think they’re going to get better HERE among strangers? I didn’t come here for these people…I came here for Wilson’s music…then I get THIS GUY?
Here’s some advice: SERIOUSLY…find a community of friends. People that care about you. Mostly, CARE about yourself so that you’re worthy of being loved by others. Right now you’re just rehearsing your dilemma. A vicious cycle of “ME! ME! ME!”
@@christopherp.hitchens3902 you're intellectualizing...you have no idea what his life is like. He came here to express his feelings, not get your advice
@@christopherp.hitchens3902 ...oh, listen to the music and don't read the comments - problem solved.
The way he so softly sings "don't you worry, don't worry about a thing, nothing really dies, nothing really ends" really calms me down from my tsunamis of thoughts
Well except the heat death of the universe, yo.
the greatest british songwriter and producer in the last 20 years, steven is a musical genuis who has done it the right way ,no hype no radio play just sheer hard work constantly touring with porcupine tree, no man, blackfield, storm corrosion the list goes on.and now delivering a solo career that no artist in the last 6 years can match with the volume of work he has written, he deserves all the praise he can get,, carry on steven you are a credit to any inspiring muscian
I'll back you on that Bill Morgan plus going further and saying that he's going forward to be one of the greatest songwriters/musicians ever and that includes the McCartney/Lennen duo as well.
and what about thom in radiohead. is he not from britian? is he not producing good music and albums and songs?
is he getting faded away.
I totally agree with Steven being a freaking genius, but might I also suggest Devin Townsend here? Who has over 30 albums and is currently working on 4 / 5 more? Same legit musical genius following his own marvelous path and leaving behind a monumental legacy...
You clearly haven't heard of Omar Rodriguez-Lopez. He's released something like 25 albums over the past couple of years!
Love this song! Steven Wilson is a big influence on a newish UK band called Twisted Illusion. Check out their new music video for "No Compromise." Some really great rock music!
OMG. Ninet. What can you say about that woman's incredible talent. Her vocal just reaches inside your chest and pulls your heart out.
adam872 see her singing routine at the RAH at a point i totally burst in tear... haven't seen it coming...
Music helps a lot. Her solo album is not amazing.
adam872 i agree i wasn t to listen everything here it's steven music and lyric... and that was the first time that was the first time that i allow myself to see the full video of routine.. young mam got all the context to be touch. but at RAH that was live... music going right inside (sorry i am french .. miss the word to explain) just listen to lazarus with son ... he talk to be about his dead great grandmother... he is 3 and doesnt speak english... SW music is fucking amazing...
ouh... were are half of this sentence word...
Damn, and here I am thinking she got only my heart.
Ninet’s voice sends chills all over my body
Steven Wilson is a genius and Ninet’s voice is otherworldly
True :) and sge is from my country Israel ❤
Ninet's vocal is such an emotional overdrive.

What a song. It's mesmerizing. Ninet's voice is so perfect.
Requested my kids to play this at my funeral. 💗💗💗
Steven Wilson with a powerful song, again. Ninet Tayeb with a huge voice, again.
h0gweed Steven has a huge voice too :D
She's got such a beautiful voice. Partner showed me this song on the weekend and it's been on repeat ever since.
No he doesn't...the man has a great many talents but his voice is not one of them!
I disagree, y16amp. While this is not necessarily SW's finest vocal performance, his singing in 'Happy Returns' sends shivers up my spine every single time I listen to it.
just find someone like steve.. fucking shits.. gossips will be always your trade. come on man wake up.. are you fucking dreaming..
I remember listening to this song on repeat when it first came out. My life has changed so much since then. Coming back to this song, realizing it was only 5 years ago, and reflecting on all I have accomplished since that time, inspires me for the next 5 years of life to come.
"I'm tired of everyone and that includes myself" is such a selfless way of expressing frustration.
3:15 - Wow.......Chills every time thank you Steven and Ninet, music is food for the soul
I've been trying to get some friends to listen to the awesomeness of Steven Wilson. If this song doesn't make people want to give him a chance, I don't know what will. So powerful and touching.
In love with Ninet's voice
Richard Handler amen to that
do they have more colabs?
I think she's in six or so tracks in this album.
thanks for replying
On this album she's only on a couple of tracks. She features on Hand. Cannot Erase. and 4 1/2 too.
I have only just discovered Steven Wilson and I am so angry.
So much catching up. I'm in for such a journey.
Thank you. 💘
He is a genius in music!
How little can you say when the music and the lyrics give you so much pleasure?
Who else has been bending the screen over and over to get the 'good' view instead of the negative? ;-)

This song resonates so deeply with me that it literally shocks me.
Leaves me speechless.
One of my most favorite songs ever. Steven's compositions and Ninet's vocals are a match made in heaven. Undoubtedly my most favourite part of the track is 3:09 - 3:20. Goosebumps guaranteed!
I wish this song was longer.
Agree! Especially the instrumental part from 3:12 should be some Minutes longer. Could be Soundtrack for a wingsuit-flight.

Just one of two things I wish were longer.
Yes, that was a penis joke.
Can we take a second to admire how beautiful Ninet is? Natural beauty. God gifted voice.
I think most of us have taken a lot more than a second to consider it, Fahad.
oh yes she really is so gifted with her voice as well as her looks, but thats less important listening to this magnificent song....
I am so amazed by how they managed to create such an intimacy
in this video using just two faces and a few colors. This is art.

The best thing about Steven is that his lyrics and music reflect our lives and touch our soul from deep within. 😖
Subigya Bikram Thapa very true😢
Love the way colour changes with the feelings. Ninet💓
Ninet has such an amazing delivery, its all PURE emotion, great combo
One of the most beautiful songs by Steven Wilson. Ninet starts with a gentle ruspy voice and ends with climactic high note. So thrilling.
IT WILL TAKE TIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIME *goosebumps*
My eyes tear up every time
Ninet Tayebs singing including her facial expressiveness plus a great arrangement elevates a good song with uniquely expressive lyrics into a fabulous one and the video is perfect, like an xray into the core which is a great metaphor for the lyrics…
Steven Wilson has created a perfect beauty with this song. I believe it ranks among the most heartfelt songs ever.
Steven Wilson IS perfect beauty within his amazing talent.
There's so much beauty in life when you realize that nothing really dies and nothing really ends.
This is only a part of the journey, and not even the most important. Let's enjoy the ride and never give up on happiness.
Listening to this everyday, quarantined in Italy, it makes me cry a bit but also gives me hope that the day will really begin again for me and my people ♥️ take care everyone!
You too.

There more I Listen the better it gets, Wilson never fails to write incredible music and Ninet's voice is amazing. Can't wait for the album
Ninet's voice is simply a masterpiece.
Thank god we still have artists like Steven Wilson around. This song is just a masterpiece..
Thumbs up. I cried. Thank you Ninet and Steven.
Don't you worry, don't worry about a thing
'Cause nothing really dies, nothing really ends
A beautiful song, an excellent duet and a great sincere message to people❤🩹
This song is incredible. Steven is a brilliant songwriter, and Ninet has an incredible voice. She compliments Steven so well, I hope she's heavily featured on the new album. Side note, they both look great too, Steven Wilson is almost 50 and he barely looks 30, while Ninet is absolutely stunning. I can't get over any of this.
EpsilonX he is a great singer, producer, and composer. But he is probably one of the worst lyricists of all time. His songs overall are very good, but the lyrics are horrendous.
PHNX EN3RG that’s true

I think this song actually breaks the fabric of time and space
such a beautiful depression
I find it hard to listen to at times because of that
Depression breaks you down fast.

Got depressed for no obvious reasons, think it's because we live the wrong way, just look at mother earth, she's in pain cuz of us
I hate human beings tbh
And of course the uncertainty of life and death,.
What are we doing here?
What happens when we die etc.
Haa haa.. exactly.. Steven Wilson and Evanscence are the ones who will comfort you when no one has gotta understand what's within you. That too Beautifully.
Cannot wait for the album. Steven NEVER disappoints, this song has been on repeat for me since it came out!

This song holds a special place in my heart. 6 months back I still remember being forced to work in an environment where I didn't really belong. At night before bed I would lit a joint and sleep listening to Pariah , feeling relaxed and connecting the dots for what tommorow will bring again. Wilson puts every single element of his vision which ultimately results into a masterpiece. ❤️🌻

Every once-in-a-while someone comes along in the music world that is just pure genius. Stephen Wilson is one such person. Porcupine Tree and his solo output and producing skills are pretty much bullet proof. I find it difficult to think of an artist or group whose EVERY output is fantastic. Elton John and Bernie Taupin were bullet proof in the 1970s, but things fell off in the 1980s and later. Same for Billy Joel in the mid -1970s to mid 1980s: untouchable, but after was hit or miss. Too many groups and artists to mention, but in my opinion, Wilson is gold on everything he is part of. Look at Opeth when Wilson became the producer. A whole new elevated level to their amazing output.
In closing, Stephen Wilson is a Wunderkind.
Not sure there's a language that can state how great this song truly is.
Steven Wilson is the reason I listen to music. Thank you for existing and creating 💌
Steven is like "I'm tired of Prog" 😁
Loved this song though. Ninet's voice sounds amazing. Steven is trying something different and it's cool. He can't make bad songs. Never!
Adeeb Shakhawat He is on his "Prince" fase.
He's not tired of prog. Stuff like this was also on Hand. Cannot. Erase.
Jelmer Holwerda A kind of Routine feeling. Sad, so terrible sad!!!
He's not tired of prog. He's always incorporated pop and rock and electronica into his music. He's always trying different things. He almost defines prog.
Don't challenge him
Steven Wilson + Ninet Tayeb = musical match made in heaven
holy crap, that woman's voice gave me shivers
This is ART
Oh my, I am so high now and i swear i haven't done any of the drugs. Its just Steven's music.
This song could not come at a better time. I have been beside myself. Can I go on? Then my favorite musician of darkness and occasional light puts this out. I can't jump off the bridge into nonexistence. I must jump off the bridge into greater courage of my life.
And that is exactly why dark art must exist, so we can take comfort in knowing we're not alone.
@@michaelh2935 you made me sad

Höre diesen Song jeden Tag. Und ich habe jedesmal Gänsehaut von oben bis unten. So viel Gefühl, so viel Tiefgründigkeit....
This + Chris Cornell's sudden departure is SURELY guarantee a very sad day. A very depressing combo.
Having said that, thank you Steven for being one of the most amazing forces in music today.
I'd like to thank all UK musicians who are still making real music. U.S. music is all unlistenable crap hip hop.
This was the last non-chris song i heard for a long long time. I couldn't listen to anything but chris afterhus demise.

Gosh, Steven Wilson doesn't waste time on little songs. Everything he puts out is so profound yet he seems to avoid the pretentious trap because his songs' lyrically, musically and visually, are true to our human experience. I am still mesmerized by the Raven that Refused to Sing, & Pariah arrived on the very day I most needed metaphysical encouragement. Well done as always!

Ms. Ninet Tayeb was the penultimate touch that made this a sweet piece of perfection. 🎸
What a statement on our time; the emptiness of supercialness, her answering of 'It's OK, you'll dig in again' to the soul that doesn't really want to. And the power of those emotions, mixed. Genius!
