one of the ways I use the tissue is to reverse a stamp. like if you have a stamp but want it to be the opposite way, just stamp it on tissue and fill it over VOILA!

Hi Chrissie. I have stamped on tissue before but I never thought to doodle on it with sharpies. That's a great idea. I will definitely be trying it so thanks for sharing :) My favourite thing to do with tissue is use it for texture. I scrunch it all up, then flatten a bit and glue to the page. I paint over it and then use an inkpad or metallic paint to highlight the ridges. I often then use it to cover a journal. It just makes me happy! Sometimes I just gesso over it as a start to a background. That's great you have arty friends. None of mine do art. Also, we just moved to another country and I know absolutely no one here at all! Our family and friends are all back in our home country, Ireland (and I feel like I left my heart there too to be honest).

Miss Emma, thanks for your tissue paper ideas, those are both good ones to try! I know how hard it is to find your creative girlfriends - they are out there, you just haven't met them yet. I actually had to start going to one of the craft supply shops here in my town to start finding my creative friends, maybe that could be an easy way to get started. but, hang in there, your friends will show up at the most perfect time!! If you lived close to me, I would art with you in a heartbeat!! :-) Hugs to you, my friend!!! :-)

I just stamped some tissue paper with some of my old stamps that I have not used in a while and forgotten about, just to remind myself of what I have and hopefully start using them again. Then I saw your video. I love the doodling technique, I will definitely try that. I have a lot of painted papers and drop paper to use, but the distress stain technique will be good if I'm looking for a particular colour or combination of colours. Great video..
