Because these are the latest installments of a five-hour playlist of clips I have been sharing with fellow Ghostbusters fans on GBFans.com. I found some old VHS tapes, digitized them for a lark, and they've been clamoring for me to keep them coming. Many clips were incomplete at the beginning, so since I have the capability, I chose to add a host segment to provide context. Plus, TH-cam really doesn't like it when people upload someone else's creation, so I try to personalize my vids.
Yes, they explain it at some point, but it may not be until the part 2 of this video. Bill brought his own tape player and had it underscoring them when it was filmed. Costas went along with the idea, called it a first. If you ask me, Bill actually wanted to prevent them from editing his interview in post.
Yeah, they explain it at the very end (probably a callback to an explanation at the top of the interview, which I am missing)... so go to the 'part 2' video of this posted by me, and skip to about 6:45. It's Van Morrison on a big giant 'jambox' very similar to one my Dad had.
Thanks for sharing this. Watching on Christmas eve 2024.
@@Joe-mz6dc You're welcome! And Murray Christmas!
Television gold. Thanks for posting this!

Technical complaints aside, this is a brilliant interview. Bill really stayed on topic and he’s not as lazy as other interviews of his usually are.
That's Costas. He brings it out in people.

8:17 Murray talks about Belushi
No offense, but why the intro? Bill Murray is enough.
So what is the deal with the music.
Bill brought in a tape player and had it playing live under the entire interview. Check my previous comments when folks have asked.
