Holy WOW! All I can say as a Faux alum (2002-2006) is I'm so proud of you guys! We NEVER could have pulled off this level of awesomeness in my day, lol... incredible!! Also, y'all are just really cute.

Ok it is an actual crime that I have not seen one comment about that first performance of emperor’s new clothes. It is literal perfection. The dancing, the vocals. The lead guy friggin kills it and he knows it. Sometimes I come here just to watch it, it’s so full of energy 🤌🏻

The first time I saw the Faux Paz was in 1994 at Spamfest. Performed in street clothes. Best arrangement of "Africa" EVER. So what if these kids hadn't been born yet--still the best a cappella group on the UMCP campus!

I agree. I cried when I heard her solo and hearing about her story really moved me to tears.
I lost my dad in January so I feel Lynique's solo and everything behind it so much. I'm finally doing better, so I guess I'm singing Dog Days are Over myself now.
There are so many days in my life that I need to hear this the entire way through.

You guys should have won. I was so incredibly bored with the Techtonics and The Originals sets. I've watched this set at least 4 times today. This is simply amazing!
Love what Josh did with this solo. You can tell he's not back to 100% but it's kinda sexy!
My wig was actually falling off this entire set. Luckily, my headphones kept it from falling off completely because boy am I SNATCHED.

After listening to "The Originals" and "The Techtonics" I don't understand why you guys aren't first. Your set was amazing! It sounded way better than the others.

2nd Place - The Originals
3rd place - Faux Paz
I don't think the Techtonics deserved 1st either - their set just didn't sway me. But as for The Originals, their choreography was pretty original (no pun intended) in comparison to the choreography of the other sets I've seen. Their stage presence and dynamics was also up to par since I thought they provided a range of emotions to share with the audience.
Faux Paz's final score was 20 points away from The Originals, which could be because of reasons like many of their arrangements relying on Mitul and Lynnique's voices - it was really easy to pick out their voices in each song, take those 2 individuals away from the group and the foundation of their whole set would probably be ruined. Their choreography was subpar when compared to 1st and 2nd. It's also important to point out the differences in sound quality between the sets - it's much easier to listen to the lows and highs in this video compared to the other 2. Nonetheless the arrangement/solos for Mad World and Dog Days were breathtaking, and I'm glad that one of the groups this season actually placed in finals.
the techtonics were just a different style from the american groups i think - they are a very english group - comic , more light hearted . The faux pas are amazing, just very different to that. its possible the judges just wanted something a little less serious and buttoned up, the techtonics looked like they were having a blast performing whereas this was more contained.
