You should buy the sawmill and process the wood, then deliver the wood to the temple to build it. The temple pays very well for the processed wood, and it's a challenge to complete it that's worth doing.
He should buy an excavator with a processing head and another one with a grapple rather that the processor. The one with the broke isn’t needed but it would greatly increase your ability to load logs.
I worked as a material handler for over 30 years loading and unloading trailers. What I learned right away was that you don't put your forks all the way through the pallet. You can end up stabbing whatever is behind the pallet you are loading - possibly the wall of the trailer! And when unloading you'll catch the forks on whatever is behind you. And driving with a load raised above your vehicle is asking to just tip over or bang into something. :-) A fun video. Thanks! (It's odd that this is supposed to take place in Japan but all the signs are in English! LOL)
Drae, I'm sad because I know you will never see this but, why not use the crane on the little trailer to load the big trailer? It'll be scuffed but I'm sure it would work lol
If you’re gonna use a zip line for your tree logs and put them on a big trailer, I would recommend parking in the trail underneath your line and lowered on to the trailer.
Farming simulator was one of my favorite games to play on the ps, when not playing ark survival evolved. Loved how realistic the environments and the vehicles were, the logging was interesting. I liked the equipment you could use, how you got to set them up for each task and the fields, you could harvest in weird patterns if you want. The best part was being able to hire extra farm hands to drive the vehicles and do some of the work. I had fun filling the trucks and taking them to offload, so many fun little details. Cool to see a pro space trucker come to do some farming. Nice job d man....
Without getting into the really crazy equipment the telehandler is the easiest way to load logs onto a trailer. It's also great as a substitute for a forklift, or anything else you would use to move or manipulate objects/materials. It's basically the only machine you need for those types of tasks aside from a couple of very specific use cases where certain attachments can only be put on one specific machine.
Get yourself a woodchipper , with a decent size trailer to fill you'll make much more money than selling trees , woodchips are great in this game for making money. 👍🏻
Drae, the charts are a good guide for min/max prices but pay attention to the actual offer price for the product being sold Also you can set production chains to auto sell, you'll loose some money but if you don't want to load pallets it's a good way to go
The more straight and long a log is the more its worth, chipping is maybe a bit easier but normally only used for trees that actual aren't straight enough (decoration trees and such)
Stihl is only good for sitting still, johnsred don't leave your arms dead. This is something I've said for years. Husqvarna and johnsred are more or less the same saw, made by the same company, however the johnsred don't vibrate as much, which causes less operator fatigue.
I think it is more lucrative to own the smallest piece of land for storage, a house to pass time, and just work contracts. I like the 0 to hero type grind with this kind of game and you can easily build an empire from nothing but you need to do the work. Lease equipment on contracts until you can buy your own then use your equipment for the contracts to make the most money. I rarely bother having my own farm if I am going the money route.
Regarding the wood pricing in game, I have some tips. The price of a log is a combination of Size, Cleanup and Straightness. Pine just happens to be Long, somewhat thick and straight tree, so when you trim the branches off it, it's basically the optimal wood to sell. This also explains why that big tree with lots of branches and leaves was worth nothing. Wasn't very clean, nor straight, was it?
Btw Drae love the vids but there is a tele-handler category which is just like a skid steer but with a extending boom to reach greater lengths and it has a log fork, some also can have a tractor PTO (what you use for stuff like the seeder) and the winch machine does not have to be hooked up to a tractor to work.
Took me a week to figure out that logging isn't worth messing with. I did however find a need to clear trees off land and for that you need to get a "Devour Trees" from the mod shop. You need a tipper trailer with it. You hook the chipper attatchment... "the thing I said" and hook it to the front of a good tractor. The chipper will throw the the chips into the trailer. You just drive up to trees and the thing eats the tree in like one second and fills the trailer up with chips. Anyway I will let you figure that out yourself dude. There are a couple versions of the tool so get the right one that has the spout on top. The other one just eats the tree and you get no chips to sell. I have cleared whole forests pretty fast with it. Fills the trailer up in a couple min. and 30k in the trailer gets you about 18k money or more.
@ Drae... OMG man safety first 🤣 when finished with the forks put put the fork talons on the ground 😱😳 😆😂😆 The rice grass looks beautiful, tempting to play this game... But no...
Just so you know, in my experience the New Holland skid steer is hot doodoo garbage. The tracked Kubota is MUCH better. It lifts more without tipping over and lifts higher. The only thing is its slower
I wonder if silage is still a good money maker. I sure loved zooming 20kmh with a big krone mover over a grass field. That was the fast part. Baling and wraping took a long time. Than a stacked way too tall on a semi trailer and sold for mucho cash🤣
you can get the truck trailer in any colour just click through the options again you'll see it :) and you should make easily $20,000 with a full trailer for trees if its cut to around 6meters theres a lumberjack mod that gives you measurements in fs22 hopefully will come to fs25
Drae last episode: I want to get into animals because I always end up doing forestry/logging.
Drae this episode: I’m getting into forestry/logging.
atleast I made it 1 episode before going logging
Just leaving com here so i can read all Drae "geting into" animals, jokes to come.

As a CDL holder, I'm excited to watch Drae trying to back up with this curtain side trailer when it's time
In a stretched cab over with a sleeper lol. Nothing beats an old cab over.
This game has drive through drop offs for everything but its Drae and he probably drives better backwards than he does forwards.

@@drae LOL! It sounds like they are just being lazy.
that yarder machine is awesome, its amazing how farming sim has grown over the years

Buy telehandler and sell skid steer.Telehandler can extend boom.

You could've change the semi trailers color by getting rid of the branding and changing cover color

The shape and the length of the logs were always what got you money. So properly clearing the branches and keeping it long were what you want.
Drae is loving this series, and so am I!! This is getting better and better.
You're hilarious Drae , was laughing so much when you stopped the traffic . Great vids .
14:25 thats not how the money in this game works. the only thing that changes is the sign, 1$=1 euro=1 pound=1 anything

In Japan, they drive on the left side 😊.

You can build a small plank station in your farm, and turn all the trees to planks, then sell said planks
The nice price for the nice rice, is the nice rice you get for this nice price on a nice rice market.
Watching this while ill and with honey tea. Gotta love the funny glitchyness vids.
Drae You’ve employed Optimus Prime as a secret farm truck hauler. Don’t worry you’ve got protection 😀🇨🇦
Speechless watching.....
get the log in place then park underneath it rather than trying to get the log above the trailer.
Super cool. Glad your playing this

Hey Dre, you should definitely look into a telehandler would make loading your truck alot easier
For large amounts of fertilizer and seeds from the store, buy a low loader trailer
I never knew how to work those wood cranes/yarders, I didn't have a clue what they do because of their funky names, so thank you

you should have gotten the telehandler itll lift higher and make it SO much easier to load stuff
Take the limbs off the trees and you can stack many logs on a trailer and you will make a bunch of money.

Just a small note: the currencies are just visual - there's no conversion rate in FS

Sun shield on the truck? Heck no, this ain't Star Trucker!
You can use a tractor that has a front attachment mechanism instead of the fork lefter thing , sorry for the bad English 😅
The price trend you see are from the last 12 months. It can give you an idea if the price rises or sinks but its basicly just a gamble
Could you use the crane on the little picker to put the logs onto the big trailer?
You flipping the truck is exactly why you have to take care to stay on the road and obey speed limits.
