The laugh tracks during Arthur’s explanation on why he hates Halloween have always seemed out of place to me. Like, what’s funny about an abusive father forcing his child to Trick-or-treat multiple times a night “till his feet were numb” so that his family could eat because his father lost their money gambling?
When Doug had later told Deacon why Arthur hates Halloween, hearing that story probably made him feel nauseous. Who wouldn't feel nauseous after hearing a gut-wrenching story like that?
Arthur is fortunate to live in Doug's house after he burned down his, due to Arthur's stupidity!!!. I don't like Halloween either, but damn it is Doug's place he can decorate if he wants.
