My husband and I got tricked by a youngster in Jamaica while on vacation some years ago. He was about 9 years old, very polite, and respectful. He told us he was homeless and needed something to eat. So we would meet him at the same place everyday to get him something to eat and give some money, too. We were even thinking who to talk to about getting him to the States with us, eventually. One day we decided to go to the bank to get cash for him. We took him with us. The security guard at the bank recognized him, and saw that he was with us. As my husband was transacting business with the Teller, the security guard walked over where we were. He asked, "what's going on?" My husband responded, "This kid is homeless and we're getting money so he can get something eat everyday and whatever else he may need. As we were going to leave soon to go back home to America. After hearing our explanation, the security guard was livid! He said, he's not homeless!!! He has a home and parents. He even knew the kid's name. He scolded him right in front of us. He said he would talk to his parents after he gets off work. My husband and I was so surprised. We laughed later as we were scammed by a child. lol
