Thanks! I'm a pretty simple guy when it comes to the recording side of things, I just try to make it cut through more and be louder than the studio track while not overpowering it. My tip for tone is find what works for you, in my opinion a lot of the tone is in your hands. If you can sound good on a practice amp, you'll sound good on boutique amps too. Mess with all the knobs until you like what you hear, have fun with it.

I already have a usa strat and I did want to see what a mim was like so I just decided to go for it in the last minute it was definstly an impulse buy but I have some original songs I made a long time ago in drop b and so this is my tuning ya know so to have a guitar that I can rip some brutality on is great cause before this I lost all my guitars and was homeless for 3 years and started getting guitars again I wanted a good guitar that I could keep in standard plus something for drop tunings so I went ahead and got the Jim root and I don’t regret I have played this guitar non stop every day as soon as I woke up..

I took private lessons for about 5 years before starting to teach, and in the years since I've learned mostly through TH-cam, guitar magazines, online courses, etc. I learned a lot from teaching as well and doing this channel has taught me a lot.

I always thought you just barred 13th fret and picked your 3 low strings. it just looks like maybe you're playing 12 or 14 to me and it sounds more accurate so I was curious. best cover on YT

The second time on those phrases I'm playing 12 on the 6th string, 13 on the 5th string, and 14 sliding to 13 on the 4th string.
