Thank you for the tours of Greece. I’ve been to Greece a dozen times, but was not been able to tour some of the ruins, and some of the islands. On my list is Naxos, Paros, and Antiparos in the future. My favorite town on the Peloponnesus is Nafplion. Your videos are great, so is your pronunciation of these areas and towns is spot on. I’ll be watching them over and over again. Thanks from Fort Wayne, IN. USA

Thanks for the surprise view! I agree it seemed like being in an Italian hill village. I didn't expect that either.

Great Vlog about Peloponesse. Love the small city of Vytina in which an afternoon back in 2016 I was lucky to shoot great pictures of the sunset days before Eastern that year. I hope you visited in Dimitsana the installations where the rebels of the Greek revolution used to produce gun powder for their muskets and riffles. I strongly suggest in May to visit first Akrokorinth the Acropolis of Korinth with its awesome view and then Ancient Olympia preferably to stay overnight there and then on the next day to visit the Archeological site and the two museums (Archeological and the Olympic). As you can imagine if you are a history buff there are quite alot to see there and you need many hours to dedicate to the site and stadium where ancient Olympic games where held on and also see the destroyed temple of Zeus which used to be even more magnificent than the Parthenon in Athens. By the way the whole area is fantastic and I consider it one the best strolls in nature I have ever done. I imagine that the nearby forest of Foloi is equally nice. I include a link here with the 10 best villages made of stone houses in Peloponesse. It's in Greek but I imagine you can easily translate the text and read about them : www.travelstyle.gr/ta-omorfotera-xoria-peloponnisou/?amp near the last of Zaxlorou there is the famous train that connects village of Kalavryta (historic place of execution of hundreds of civilians by the Nazis in WWII) with the small city of Diakopto which is nearby the north of the peninsula. The whole ride with that small fenicular is fantastic as you will see nature at its best.
I also suggest to go all the way to the south visit Kalamata and all its museums (there is a newly open with traditional costumes that have been made with golden threads !!!!) And the nearby villages. Also strongly recommend the medieval town castle of Monemvasia located on a island that connects with a very narrow strip to the mainland. Climbing onto the very top is a big challenge. Also there is a spot that is very well worth the visit in Arkadia more for its religious point of view but it's also a unique phenomenon in all of the world. Your camera will be set on fire there !!!! It's about the small chapel of Santa Theodora near the village of Vasta close to city of Megalopolis. The chapel holds 17 trees on its roof as you can see in these pictures : www.google.com/search?q=%CE%91%CE%B3%CE%B9%CE%B1+%CE%98%CE%B5%CE%BF%CE%B4%CF%89%CF%81%CE%B1+%CE%92%CE%B1%CF%83%CF%84%CE%B1&client=firefox-b-m&prmd=imnv&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=2ahUKEwi5ytOo6pf9AhWR-KQKHRpTBfoQ_AUoAXoECAEQAQ&biw=414&bih=618&dpr=3
Finally two spots to go for swim. The beach near Pylos on the south west end of Peloponnese named Voidokoilia (OX's Belly) which is half circular and great even for small children and the other is Simos Beach in Elafonissos island northern of Kythira island on the most East South leg of the Peninsula which consists of two swallow beaches back to back with each other and is considered on of the best in the Med.

Mycenae is one of the kind! It’s great that you were able to explore it with very few people. It gets crowded quickly and almost all yea4 around so the best is to go in very early in the morning or late afternoon in order to avoid many tourist buses.

Only in 1 country (Greece) ! Only on 1 mountain (Mainalo) ! Only from 1 tree (Black Fir-tree) ! ===> Vanila Fir-tree Honey of Mainalo (mountain) !!!
It must be NO rain at all for at least 20 days from the end of May to the beginnig of June ! Otherwise the ``melitomata`` of the fir-trees will be washed off and there will be NO honey at all !
That happend recently for 3 years and at the 4th year the whole production of this area didn`t reach 1 Ton. For a good year I was waiting for almost 10 years !!!
Btw, Kefalonia Island is covered with Black Fir-trees , but nothing happends there . This hapends only on Mainalo mountain , in a circle of 30-40 km diameter !

My friend you are so wrong about the part of Kefallonia. It's just that are very few beekeepers still in existence there. I personally know one that produces mainly thyme honey but also other varieties. Vanilla honey production in Kephallonia has been affected alot by the multiple fires that have struck the island over the years. And in order that you get pure vanilla honey these days you must have bee hives into the forest with the Abies Cephallonica (Black Fir tree) in Ainos which is a protected area and thus it's forbidden to install bee hives in it. Back in the old days before the fires there used to be multiple pockets with those trees and thus many beekeepers used to produce it as my late uncle did. So it's been produced into small quantities mainly consumed onto the island. Cephallonia used to have even better variety of honey consisting of flower origin. The flora and fauna thirty years ago was so great in Cephallonia and it was used to be considered an alpine ecosystem. The same applied with the production of vegetables and fruits in the area of Thinia especially.
And vanilla honey is great for use of those who lack of iron and have low blood production.
