I have a theory. Pump got Corrupted specifically because of the costume he was wearing.
See, being dead he normally couldn't get Corrupted, but since he's closely associated with the costume, and the Corruption affects clothes, he treats the costume as a solid object, and was Corrupted by being in physical contact with something his spirit is bonded with getting Corrupted.
Na sadly it's been confirmed that pump's corps is underneath the costume yes he is a spirit and a ghost technically but he still has possession of his body, he wears the costume so nobody freaks out about a dead kid walking around
I love how bf takes fall damage after landing in the room with skid and pump
