This is God tier editing - Very very special video, amazing cuts and music. LOVE IT. This is a cut above every other highlight video I have seen. Amazing captures of emotion along with the plays. Bravo whoever created this. Amazing job.
Definitely best Ultiworld highlight reel ever. Have they picked out an artist for the next James Bond movie theme? Angela McCluskey and Big Gigantic would seem like a solid choice...
Yeah, that clap catch before his feet hit the ground, where he immediately spiked it (by dropping it) before he even landed looked incredibly sketchy to me. When you make a catch in the endzone you can drop it right away, but surviving ground contact (and maintaining possession) is absolutely relevant. In this case he dropped it before even landing, so, I'd say he's not in the endzone - you have to get a foot down (before you go out of bounds). This wasn't an out of bounds issue. I wouldn't take the point from him, because he caught it and just spiked (dropped) it prematurely. Like if I was the other team and they had integrity calls like the AUDL. Still (long reply) but I had the same thought exactly.
Really cool highlights! I just can't stop getting annoyed by all the spiking, where is the spirit of the game in this? Or is that not an important part of it in America?
Ankimuff I personal enjoy the spiking. I find it annoying when somebody does something awesome and then tries to play it off like they don’t care. It doesn’t seem like bad sportsmanship to me, just enthusiasm
@@benjaminbaumgardner7620 I guess it is down to preference. I think people should show enthusiasm 100% by celebrating. heavy spiking in my personal opinion is more disrespect to your opponent, than celebrating on your own behalf, but hey it's no biggy, I am just a fan and a player. If you are a fan, tune into the EUC (European championship) that is currently being played in Hungary. I could be blindsided and not paying attention to the amount of spiking,, maybe there is more spiking in highlight reels as it is always amazing plays, maybe it's a cultural difference.
That's the Men's game in the US. You'll see some spiking in other divisions, but the men feel the need to make a big show of it even on routine points. I'd be perfectly happy without it, but there it is.
Yeah it was all on Kocher. He hit Dillon, who then hit Jagt, and Jagt was then stripped by Kocher. Probably a goal either way, but if a teammate strips you, and then you call foul because the teammate also shoved an opposing player into you, you can't really blame the opposing player.
Great video.... but I wish you had clipped out the "bad spirit" spike and yellow card around 1:02 ... and also the discussion/call/blue card at 2:21-2:28 (many feel it was a bad call by the observers, and impacted the outcome).
I like having them in there... nationals (like any big sport event) is all about the stories.. and those plays were a big part of the story of that game. I agree it's not a "highlight" in the usual ultimate sense of the word, but they were big moments in one of the biggest games of the weekend in the men's division.
This is my favourite Frisbee video EVER . I watch it the morning before every tournament to get hyped

We're glad you like it so much! Thanks for watching

0:52 did he drop it before he hit the ground? turnover?

yup. he got lucky.
Dope
Was it a drop at :52? Receiver never touched the ground should have been a turn
Why is it not a turnover at 0:54
By the rules it is, but it was called a goal during the game.

The Dillon/Jagt call was pretty bad, IMO. I think Trent is in the right to be upset by that.

No ring/machine? No jack williams or von alanguilan? SMH interns.
Unfortunately, Ultiworld didn't get to film and Ring or Machine games, so didn't get any of their highlights.

Agreed, seeing the cards in the video promotes that exact kind of behavior because it looks "cool"

I like them there. It's honest about what the sport has evolved to.
I like it - it shows the hype and emotion - its not condoning it

Nothing from final tho
i think they weren't allowed to film those games
Terrible ruling by the observer. The player lost possession from his own teammate.
