there is one more thing that happens , there is inhibition of GnRH release , the strength of inhibiton depends upon the the stimulus being prolonged and frequent , which is why there is amenorrhoea for some time in lactating mothers..

Hello, can I have a question? I just found out, that babies are able to breathe and suckle at the same time because of different position of larynx and epiglottis. I've read plenty of articles but still can't imagine it. Can you make a video about it? I haven't found any here on youtube. Thank you!

Thank you so much for this illustration! It was so helpful in understanding the steps of milk creation. I have a question in regard to order, just for my curiosity and personal knowledge: from the hypothalamus, are we to understand that the "off" signal to the prolactin inhibitory cells happens prior to be "on" signal to the oxytocin neuron? Does the body work to produce the milk before secreting it, or do the signals happen simultaneously as the suckling or crying of a baby takes place? #birthinglittlehumans
look it up. Alot of detrimental things depending on prolactin levels, from low sperm count to loss of bone density
