(C6) My 2 cents: She also hits this note live during her performances of "The Other Half of Me" during the Mother Earth Era (not in this style tho) and during their live performances of Jillian back in 2004. Sharon has a lot of ease in these high notes despite not hitting them frequently (my take is she focuses more on the musicality and quality of her voice rather than simply hitting a high note, wider range doesn't necessarily equal a better singer). She also phrases C6 in the "Our Solumn Hour" demo, again impressive, reminds of Tarja's phrasing of C6 in "The Pharaoh Sails to Orion". Not an easy thing to do. She goes sharp in the background of raise your banner (C#6). She also goes extremely high in Ayreon's "Cosmic Fusion" (B6) but I wouldn't include in her supported range. Sharon has one of the best head voice registers I've heard in her field, it's so colorful, resonant and supported despite no professional training.

I've heard of her note in Cosmic Fusion but never heard her sing it live (Only Simone). And I do agree that Sharon tends to focus more on her musicality rather than high notes or belts. As much as I appreciate that, it sure is refreshing to see how capable she can be with her vocals. Thanks for the very thorough explanation. :)

This is normal at most concerts. Of course they know the songs; they wrote them, but in the moment it can be easy to forget. Many singers have lyrics on display. Often times you can tell that they don’t really use them, which again, goes back to the fact that they usually know their own songs. There have been times, at various concerts, when I’ve seen that the lyrics displayed on the little monitors correspond to a different song than the one they’re singing at that particular moment. In WT’s case, you can tell Sharon doesn’t look at the displayed lyrics often. Right at the 3:40 mark, she messed up. And she tends to mess up somewhat frequently. It’s really cute, and it also silences anyone who dares to even suggest that she might lip sync, lol.
