    I found one a month ago at a shop about 100 miles from my house here in southern Indiana. I got it at MSRP and no gouging.
    A shout out to M+B Honda in Bedford Indiana. They were in the midst of a major remodel so maybe not much floor traffic there in February.
    Anyway I got it home and installed an Apache X large case on the rack and a wire pigtail for a trickle charger for the nearly impossible to
    access battery terminals. Going a step further I got a plug in block from Wal Mart with 2 USB sockets and an old school 12 volt accessory plug.
    I carry it in the case and can run just about anything off of it including a very small 120 volt inverter. I was gong to raise the front fender, but the kit I bought looked like it would tear up the front fork boots so I opted out. Anybody have experience with these lift kits that won't destroy
    the fork boots? so far I have gotten it up to 52 MPH but it usually tops out at 49/50. I'm going to run a test with Amoco Ultimate high octane
    to see if I can squeeze another mile or two of top end out of it. The weather has been such that I have only managed to put about 70 miles on it
    to date. Oh I almost forgot. I also put a magnetic drain plug on the oil pan. These bikes are the most fun you can have with your clothes on.
    Ride safe and enjoy.

    56/100 is a pretty bad score. I'll take it off yer hands for $3k, to make room in your garage for something better. Just to be nice.

    Clive from Australia here. I love the history of how these bikes originated as fishing, hunting and agricultural etc. I love the comments that go with the video as well as the video. Brutally honest. I have just driven 2400 km (1,500 miles) to a different state to get one. If you love them which many people do it’s just worth it. They are a thing of beauty…

      I lived in Torrance California well in my prime in the 80s. Went to my first Rolling Stones concert at Anaheim Stadium. I was actually a big dodger fan, and when the Angels went to Anaheim I was kind of upset, but slowly Turned into an Angels fan! Not so much anymore since I live in Atlanta and no root for the Braves.
      But back to the point of the story-
      Just getting out of Anaheim one piece in any vehicle is a great accomplishment, much less doing it on a trail 125, lol!

    I live in Jersey.... Flew down to Jacksonville, rented a pick up, and drove to GA to pick her up from the dealer.. $4387 out the door...... FL sharks wanted 5900(no state tax) - 6400 locals smh

      Honda of Jacksonville wanted $6500,00 out the door. The dealer in Brunswick was over $1000.00 less. People need to remember the dealers that were gouging now when it changes and becomes a buyers market.

    Yeah I got mine around February I think. I don't anyone is hardly selling for MSRP right now. All charges and state tax on mine was around $4800. Hey, I happy with it at that. If they ever become more readily available I'm sure the price will be better. I had to drive to another state to get mine. Virginia didn't have one anywhere when I purchased mine. My two worst gripes about it are, no gear indicator and the seat isn't that comfortable, which I had already heard before I bought it. With that being said I've put around 45 miles on mine each of the last 3 trips I have taken it out. Its bearable. Really fun bike! No regrets on buying it. EE

      Generally MSRP+shipping listed on Honda power sports website, and most dealerships have a setup charge of about $200, at least around here. That's the best I've found. YMMV of course. 😁
      Some of the dealers go well past that however. Those are the ones who usually have inventory on hand of course.

      I searched the Honda dealer websites for one. A dealer in in Jacksonville had one so I requested a quote. A sales man called me up and told me the out the door price was $6500.00. That was a ridiculously high price. A called another dealer that I have purchased bikes from just to see what it would be out the door to compare the prices. I had already looked at his website but he didn't have one listed. When I called him, he said a CT125 just came in the day before. His price out the door was over $1000.00less than the dealer in Jacksonville. Needless to say I drove over there and bought it.

    Honda didn't stop on a lot of features. But they didn't keep one of the important features that trail riders loved about the original, the Hi/low range gearbox. I will wait for the demand to drop and hopefully a Hi/Low range gearbox.

    • @margaretadler6162
      @margaretadler6162 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Yeah! That's what I loved about my 1982 110. l thought the dual range tranny was the best thing about the bike! I would buy a new one if it wasn't for the tranny not being dual range. But maybe Honda will have second thoughts and offer it with one. Then I'm going to buy one for sure!

  • @jaykay643
    @jaykay643 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Years ago I never would have considered buying this bike thinking it was a goofy looking scooter and opted for a large dual sport. But, I just put a deposit on one (not sure I'll get it) because it makes perfect sense for trail riding. Light weight, easy to maneuver, fast enough to get to/from the trails and automatic which means you don't have to slip the clutch in difficult sections because it won't stall...just concentrate on the gas. We'll see but as usual in life, common sense and practicality wins in the end.

    In Australia the general public cannot buy the Ct110 (Postie) bike. Every Ct110 which came into Australia could only be bought by Aust Post. Everyone else had to buy a second hand bike which came available when Aust Post sold them. I was a postie for 13 years and never had one break down.

      Dude thank you so much for sharing, this is such a great bit of info on the little postie bikes. I lived in Oz for a while and I lost it the first time I saw a postie ride across someones front lawn in Liverpool. If a mail man walks on some peoples grass in the states they would blow a gasket, can't imagine if the mailmen rode across our lawns on little motorcycles.
