Yob got me through some terrifying times this past year. I was hopeless. This album was the soundtrack to that hopelessness. Homeless, drunk, sitting in my car listening to this album. It floored me. It put me out of my head, brought tears to my eyes and completely reflected the desolation I felt when I was ready to die. I am doing well now and my thinking is positive. My life, so much better. I listened to this song tonight and it brings me joy. Here in my apartment, surrounded by positivity and light...this song, that once felt as bleak as old me, finds new me smiling and staring hopefully at new horizons. Yob and I have a strange partnership. If they knew they saved a life....man. One of the most powerful albums ever written.
Always. Metal gets me through. Always has, always will. From Yob to Gorguts. Morbid Angel to Gojira. I guess you could say I have, "been this way throughout my life," lol!
I know this sounds silly to some, but my cat of 10+ years passed away yesterday. This song has been on shuffle the entire night, and in my sleep I could swear I felt the little dudes footsteps on my back-- only to wake to an absolute emptiness inside. This song feels like the perfect soundtrack to how I feel right now.
Came here from the story of this album and song putting Mikael Stanne from Dark Tranquility into tears. Never heard of this band before, but I'm glad I have now.
I'm sorry for your loss. You aren't alone. My wife passed away in April. This song helps me put it in the perspective of the infinite that your fiance and my wife now share as home. We'll be there someday too.
I'm 40, and been suffering with bad anxiety. This band really grounds me and makes me at peace. It's funny the power of music and how we all relate to it.
@@wipsypap I'm over 40 just had my birthday....2nd after my husband passed. Last year I was in a dark devastated deep depression and anxiety. I still suffer....just getting better at dealing. I know it'll never go away. Life's taught me that, but music helps me when I feel lost. Helps me release, remember, forget... whatever I want to do. Stay strong
I moved away from my home of over 20 years. I grew up there and everyone i ever knew and loved was there. This album and this song in particular were the soundtrack to that move. Still hits like a bus
The most underrated, unknown band ever. But when you happen to come across it, damn, you’re hooked. Put them in my all time favorites, Pink Floyd, Tool, Radiohead, ...
100%. They have joined the upper echelons of bands that are up on a pedestal for me. Metallica, Tool, Floyd, R.E.M, all the greats. They are THAT good.
This is the best song I've ever heard. To capture something so profound as they have done with this is a wonder in itself. I'm very grateful to have been blessed to experience this. What a beautiful perspective...
Oh, fantastic! I heard it yesterday for the first time driving along the beautiful landscape of the island of Menorca, Spain, and it was beyond this world! There i was, on repeat, four or five times... Timeless and weightless
I feel an overwhelming sense of closure and remembrance following a death of a close family member when I hear this, almost as a premonition for how I feel it will be when I lose a parent, and in a way it ruins the track for me, but at the same time the main chorus just chills me to the bone and I love it all at the same time. YOB = Love
You can't really compare the two...such different styles but I guess they tread a similar path....they both play emotional, intense, spiritual metal that exists outside of genre norms/conventions, but they have a different approach. Neurosis explores the deepest, darkest parts of your mind and lets you experience it full on (styistically more rooted in hardcore and Swans). YOB is more of a cathartic process, to transition from darkness into beauty (stylistically more rooted in trad metal, stoner and progressive rock). As a heavy music fan I find they both have a huge impact on my life, almost healing music despite the darkness in the music. No need to say one is better than the other though. They are brothers in arms showing the world how metal can be emotionally charged and introspective, not just about riffs, horror or flashy musicianship (although I do love that old school metal).
@@HiddenFormula i wasnt comparing bands, its just this song in particular that has a Neurosis feel. For example, its similar in feeling and structure to A Season in the Sky. ;)
You clearly aren't ready for what this masterpiece has to offer. All in time friend. Dont listen to negative comments. Just listen. Sit back. It will happen.
al leer la seccion de comentarios , me di cuenta que no era el unico que venia a esta cancion sintiendose de esta manera, puede que suene tonto, pero , me senti menos solo, por 16 minutos de mi vida , senti que no era el unico que veia la belleza en las ojas que caen...dudes , we are not alone, just we are leaves fleeting fall from above

YOB is love.

All is mind, and this helps the feels in us all.
If this isn't played at my funeral I'm not dying
Wel, if you’re not dead, I ain’t coming either...
Then this song is definitely not playing at your funeral.

Yob writes The Eye of Every Storm. Fantastic.
Always brings tears to my eyes .. You Heart brings Me home....
this album is so beautiful, whether it is the crushing sound of The Screen, or the uplifting track we have here, its just fantastic
This song does things to my heart.
Time to wake up.
Yob is Love and Mike Scheidt is the Steven Wilson of doom! The power of this song combined with its emotion, incredible.
I'd say he is in his own orbit. Totally unique to himself.
This song is very calm i love it. Helps me release my emotions when i bottle them up
Endless masterpiece..infinite band..
Third Yob song I’ve ever heard. What a beautiful writer
Je viens de découvrir ce groupe, et wow !!! Cette chanson est vraiment exceptionnelle !!
the song helps me to swim in an endless ocean without drowning in its eternal tides and reminds me of the beauty of the waves.
16 mins but still feels short. This is perfection.
This beautiful music isn't afraid to take all necessary time. Thanks to Mike and Yob for the voyages.

Love this, sounds like Nuerosis and Hum had a beautiful baby.🤘🤘
Beautiful song and an amazing album." Your heart brings me home".
So emotionally intense.

So poetic, and heavy!!!

This song is just wow... you guys really tapped into a spiritual essence on this track, for lack of a better way to put it. Keep it up boys.
This song is so perfect. I'm not sure I can put how much I love it into words.
Theres a Neurosis feel to this song. I love it! Its so far the best song ive heard in 2018.
Neurosis wishes.
emoedison dont say that, Neurosis were pioneers, they deserve all the respect they can get ;)

First time hearing this, Have they been out for a while?

The fact that TH-cam interrupted this song in the mid point with an ad just left a bad taste in my mouth.

I feel Yob is more post-metal than doom.
