@@davidcouncil493 Here's a few reasons why Trump was one of the worst presidents and why right wingers should actually vote Democrat.
1.) Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017
Trump was a whack president and you all know it. It’s clearly evident that he didn't have the American people’s best interests at heart. He served the ultra wealthy and elite of the country as opposed to the working class of this nation. For an obvious example we’ll take a lot at Trump’s 2017 tax bill and some of it’s examples. Per usual it was just a massive tax cut for the wealth. 83 percent of the benefits of the tax bill go to the top one percent. It slashes the estate which only applies to the top 0?1 percent of earners. The bill also lowered corporate rate tax rate from 37 percent to 21 percent. All of this is disgusting on principle and it's the opposite of what America needs. Plus far right ideas like this are also horrible for lowering the deficit as well which is very ironic since fiscal conservatives claim to care to about deficit yet they strongly believe in Reagan's ideas ideas and governing style which always skyrockets the defecit. If the deficit is something you really care about then you should never vote Republican again since democrat since are more fiscally responsible and infinitely better at balancing the budget. Bill Clinton actually created a 200 billion surplus for example.
Some of you probably think Trump's tax plan sn't that bad since everyone got a tax cut, right? Not quite. That same bill actually raises taxes on anyone making 75,000 a year or less. That's the vast majority of Americans who don't get keep what they earn. Any tax cuts for the working class were temporary while any tax cuts for the rich were larger and permanent. This shit is just the Bush Tax cuts on steroids. The bill also incentives outsourcing, but I'll touch on outsourcing a bit later.
The effects of Trump's policies have been horrendous and further exasperated the growing wealth inequality in this nation. In 2019 it was reported that Working Class households now pay a higher overall tax rate than the 400 richest U.S. families. Factoring in federal, state and local taxes, those ultra-wealthy households pay a total rate of about 23% while the bottom half of households pay 24 percent. This is the first time a situation like this has happened in 100 years which is ridiculous because back then there were less regulations, no social-safety net programs, and the government was a fraction of the size it is now. Rich people never payed their fair share in taxes, but the 2017 tax law amplified that trend. When many working families received their tax refunds after the bill went into effect they either got way less than expected or even owed money. This tax bill doesn't benefit the majority of Americans at all, but it was a dream come true for the ultra wealthy. For me it would be the equivalent of two ladies asking me to join them in a three way. The U.S. tax system is supposed to be progressive, meaning that wealthier households pay a larger share of their income to the taxman than the middle class and the poor. Yet after the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017, that's no longer the case. We have a system that’s biased in favor of the wealthy and well-connected here in the good Ol’ U.S. of A. The U.S. of KKK is more accurate actually.
Democrats have actually been better with lowering taxes for lower income people and small businesses in my opinion despite Republicans claiming the opposite. As a general rule democrats want to lower taxes for people with an income of 200,000 or less. Biden's tax plan is even more conservative than Obama's. Uncle Joe doesn't want to raise taxes for people making less than 400,000 and raise the corporate tax rate to 28 percent. Republicans are ridiculous for getting hysterical over Biden winning since he will only raise taxes on the super wealthy.
      2.) Deregulation
His deregulation agenda was also horrible. Before I talk about some of Trump's deregulation I want to talk about Regulations in general. Regulations aren't inherently good or bad; It depends on the regulation. The regulations that right wingers are in favor of loosening or getting rid of though are the good ones that protect the environment, you the consumer, and low-income people in general. All just to let the ultra rich be able to freely and effortlessly make more money at the expense of the rest of humanity. Back in the day there used be companies that would dump toxic chemicals in the hudson River since It was cheaper to dispose of them that way instead of getting rid of the waste in a safe and clean manner. You need a regulation to force them to do the right thing otherwise they're not gonna do it. Surely companies are better now a days with deregulation, right? No sir. Look at the entirely avoidable humanitarian crisis in Texas with it's energy Grid back in feberuary. Millions weren't left freezing because of climate change being a hoax or wind turbines. There are wind turbines working just fine in Scandinavia, Antartica, and elsewhere. The situation there was caused mostly by the privatized power grid that was isolated from the rest of the country to avoid federal regulations. The right wing agenda kills.
On to Trump now. A recent example of bad deregulation was the Trump administration relaxing Obama-era restrictions on lead, mercury, and other toxic discharges from coal plants into waterways. When the regulations were in place they stopped about 1.4 billion pounds of toxic metals and other pollutants from pouring into rivers and streams. This was undeniably good for communities near these coal plants, people could drink the water and not have to worry about getting heavy metal poisoning or their children suffering brain damage. Now people do have to worry because the new Trump-era rule will endanger the water of 1.1 million Americans. All of this just, so that coal industry can save anywhere from 140 million to 480 million dollars. Democrats don't take the kind of donations from the coal industry the way that Republicans do which is why the dems are willing to regulate them and help people out by giving them clean water.
The coal plant thing was one of the most disgusting recent examples of deregulation to me which is why into so much detail about that specific case in particular, oh but there's more. The consumer financial protection Bureau is a government agency that returns money back to millions of defrauded Americans. This was Elizabeth Warren's idea that was added to the Obama Wall Street Reform Bill. Trump made this agency significantly weaker with his crazy deregulation agenda. Republicans in the FCC voted to repeal Net Neutrality. Getting rid of Net Neutrality doesn't protect the consumer and is general an objectively bad rule change yet Trump called it a big win. The Pork industry in 2020 saw a reduction of the required number of federal inspectors at plants. Now the meat is more likely to contain hair, toe nails, feces, sex organs, bladders, eye balls etc. Yummy Yummy, just what I want to eat in my pork. 92 percent of the pork Americans eat come from the plants that applied for the new inspection rules btw, so you might want to not buy pork anymore if this concerns you. All of these policies that republican politicians have enacted are indefensible, but right wingers actually love defending the indefensible, so who knows what the Republican base thinks about this.
Anarcho capitalists want no regulations at all. This is why you should never consider voting for the cooky ass libertarian party. Ancaps are maniacs; They think all regulations are burdensome and a restriction on liberty. They childishly believe that the free market will always come out with the best results. Ancaps always say that corporations and big business will always do the right thing since they think it's in their best interest to do the right thing even though history has shown that this is obviously not the case. Rich people only care maximizing profits. That's it, they don't care about the safety or well being of their customers. They don't care about their workers either, but that's a topic for another day.
If you're a conservative who's always in favor of dergulation because DEREGULATION GOOD BECAUSE THAT MEANS SMALL GOVERNMENT AND SMALL GOVERNMENT GOOD WHILE BIG GOVERNMENT ALWAYS BAD RADICAL COMMUNISM then you're an partisan hack and not very bright honestly. Right wing economic ideas in general are really just scams for rich people to Get more money. I hope people realize this. Money equals power and influence in this corrupt system of ours where the donor class are legally allowed to bribe politicians to do their bidding. That's what lobbying is; It's legalized bribery basically. This is the Swamp that Trump said he was going to drain. He lied of course and instead added more to the Swamp. FYI to any conservatives reading still reading, This is why informed people love Bernie Sanders and justice democrats like AOC so much since they refuse to take any corporate money and instead focus more on fighting for the working class. Politicians taking money is also why Medicare for All isn't a thing here, the health insurance companies and Big Pharma pay Republican politicians as well as the majority of democrats to not vote on it because they want to keep on making money even if it means that people go medically bankrupt die because they aren't insured. Capitalism is trash like that. They also spend money on ads and propaganda outlets that spread a lot of the lies you hear about M4ALL. We seriously need M4ALL, Someone back in June of 2020 got a million dollar covid bill ffs.

      @@davidcouncil493 3.) Economy before Covid/Jobs/Democrats/Black Americans
I know Trump is like the second coming of Christ to a lot of Republicans, but it's time to face the fact he was obviously a worthless president The truth hurts, but it's good for you. One of the first things he did was make it more expensive for first time home buyers to buy houses ffs. The Trump economy was not great for a lot of working class people. Wages weren't and still aren't keeping up with expenses. Childcare, housing, education, healthcare premiums are all getting more expensive by the year. Younger people are still getting crushed by student loan debts so large that they can’t move out of the house or start families. Before the pandemic half of workers made 30,000 a year or less. 40 percent of Americans couldn't cover a 400 dollar emergency. We never had a booming economy if 80 percent of the population couldn't afford to miss 2 paychecks.
Conservatives claimed that the Trump economy was the best in human history before covid and that he created the most jobs of any president. I'm not even strawmanning or exaggerating, a lot conservatives actually say ridiculous stuff like that. Why is it that whenever a Trumpie claims shit like this the first immediate response is not "The records broken by Trump were set by Obama". If you want to get detailed "Every economic trend under Trump was a linear continuation of Obama's economy". Obama's presidency saw 14 million jobs in a record 70 month-stretch of uninterrupted job growth. Trump shouldn't get credit for what Obama set in motion. You people love talking about jobs when Obama had three better years than Trump's best year for jobs.
The democrats are basically just less shitty Republicans. They're a centre-right party. Don't believe all the bs stupid conservatives say; the dems are moderate Republicans. You guys should actually love Obama since he did all the things Republicans say they love. He cut taxes for small businesses, nearly tripled the stock market, and reduced the annual deficit he inherited by a trillion dollars in six years. Conservatives on the other hand always raise the debt and deficit; I know I said that already, but I love mentioning that fact. Obama even talks about how much he loves America literally all the time. Obamacare is literally a right wing health care plan. Republican's answer to universal healthcare in the 90s was an individual mandate system. Now they all of a sudden think it's terrible because Obama did it. Obama even did the shitty things that all other republican presidents do. For example he bailed out corporations, bankers, and CEOs. He kicked 2,200,000 people off food stamps, approved 1500 permits for fracking in the Gulf of Mexico, continued the wars, and deported a lot of undocumented immigrants(the most of any president)
Alright, back to Trump and the economy.
Needless to say Trump in general was not great on jobs. He outsourced 93000 jobs in his first year alone - 6000 more jobs than in the previous year under Obama. Manufacturing in the US has been on a decline for years now. Trump didn't fix this problem if anything he made it worse with his pro-corporate/anti-working class agenda. Also, I feel a distinction has to be made between workers that are fully employed and workers that are discouraged, work on and off, part timers that want to be full timers. This is a whole category called the under employed, consists of 22 million, That must be taken into account. 8 million people are considered to be part of the working poor. Keep in mind all of these statistics are pre-pandemic. I'll cover covid briefly later on.
Conservatives also claim that Trump is the president that has done the most for black Americans since Lincoln. Anyone who unironically says this is unbelievably ignorant and doesn't know anything about American history. Lyndon B. Johnson is the actual president who did the most for black Americans since Lincoln. He ended segregation ffs. LBJ fought against the racist opposition in his own party to pass the civil rights act of 64, 65, and 68. He even strengthen JFK's affirmative action policies. The only thing Trump had going for him was the black unemployment being at a record-low which conservatives claimed is proof that he isn't racist which is a ridiculous thing to say. Harry Truman desegregated the army, but was still racist himself. When Obama took office the black unemployment rate was at 16% because there was a recession under the bush administration. When Obama left office it was at 6.8%. Like I stated earlier Trump shouldn't get credit for what Obama set in motion since the Trump economy was just similar to the Obama economy. Both economies weren't great for working class people though in my opinion.
It's also worth noting that Trump's failed trade war hurt farmers so much, they had to get bailed out. I'm guessing some of you conservatives are against the farmers getting a handout as you say because they should just stop being lazy and get a second job since it was 100 percent their fault things went bad. Coal miners too. They all work in a dead industry by choice. All of this shit is just the tip of the iceberg. What makes things worse is that he ran as an anti-establishment candidate, but ended up being a super pro-establishment president. Krystal ball said summarize Trump best with this absolute banger of a line. "Trumpism was theatrically populist in service of an elite agenda."
      4.) Lied about the Swamp
Trump said he was going to get rid of the special interests groups that control our politics or "Drain the Swamp" as he put it. He ended up doing the opposite. He hired six times the amount of lobbyists that Obama did. He immediately filled his Cabinet with swamp creatures in general. A coal lobbyist ran the EPA, Apharma exec ran HHS, An oil lobbyist runs the DOI, A Raytheon lobbyist ran the DOD, A Verizon lawyer ran the FCC, A Goldman Sachs exec ran Treasury, A private equity kingpin ran Commerce etc. He had the more billionaires in his administration than any other in history. Trump is the swamp. He didn't drain it what so ever, he added more to the swamp with his administration and anti-worker and pro-corporation agenda. Trump is the Swamp He even pardoned Steve Bannon who scammed Republicans out of their money instead of pardoning some of his most loyal supporters that stormed the capitol. Trumpies got played. Trump is a con artist, a fake populist through and through. Conservatives though say that he successfully drained the swamp which leads me to believe they have no idea what the phrase means. I think Trump simps think "Drain the Swamp" means get rid of democrats or something.

    • @ladybirdhill3578
      @ladybirdhill3578 2 ปีที่แล้ว

@@davidcouncil493 5.) More broken promises and hypocrisy
He didn't just break his promise of draining the swamp. He's broken more a lot more than that. Covid hasn't disappeared at all, DACA is still in place, Mexico didn't pay for the wall, the American taxpayer did, he didn't rebuild infrastructure, he didn't cut the national debt, Obamacare wasn't been repealed and replaced even though republicans controlled all three branches of congress in 2017, and he didn't deport all illegal immigrants(obama deported more like I stated earlier). The things he did deliver on are things that are just bad. More tax cuts for the wealthy, pulling out of the paris climate accord, deregulating coal plants, deregulating wallstreet etc. Trump took Regenoron when he got covid. Regeneron uses human embryonic stem cells yet Pro-lifers were quiet on that front. Trump is obviously not pro-life yet Trumpies think otherwise. He's not even pro-second amendment either. He's supported red flag laws and bumpstock bans. Obama protected the second amendment more btw.
Alright, so Trump isn't the most pro-life or pro gun president like conservatives claim, but he must be the most Pro-first amendment president. Right? Nope. Trump doesn't care about freedom of Speech as much Republicans say he does. He has suggested the idea of punishing the act of burning the American Flag with a year of jail time. He tried to sue Bill Maher over a joke that hurt his feelings because Trump is a snowflake. He tried to get TikTok banned, most likely because his political opponents thrive on there. He ordered troops to several states to randomly kidnap people without due process which is totally against the constitution. Back in Spring, Trump unnecessarily demanded the shooting of peaceful protesters and demanded tear gas being thrown at them. This completely goes against the first amendment. Not to mention that tear gas is a chemical weapon banned in wars, yet it was used on American citizens. What happened to America First? Or is America First just a euphemism for White Nationalism?
      6.) War Criminal
When Trump ran in 2016 he claimed to be the only Republican candidate against the Iraq war even though that contradicts what he has said before in the past. Despite claiming to be anti-war he didn't end US involvement in Iraq during his time in office; he didn't end US involvement in any of the wars he inherited from Bush and Obama. In fact he's made things worse in every way. He's escalated drone strikes to an alarming level; More than 4 times the amount of Obama which is saying something. Civilian casualties increased dramatically because of the Trump administration's new policies. There's literally too many horrible things to list when it comes to foreign policy holy shit, but Trumpies would still be like "nO nEw WaRs GiVe tHaT mAn, a NoBeL pEaCe pRiZe,". Right Wing Libertarian Justin Amash brought to my attention to the stats of Somalia specifically in one of his tweets from September of 2020 and it isn't pretty. "Antiwar President Donald Trump has launched more air and drone strikes in Somalia over just the last year than Barack Obama did over all eight years, and about as many strikes per year as GWB and Obama combined and totaled from 2002 (war’s start) to January 2017 (inauguration)." - Justin Amash Twitter
      www.thebureauinvestigates.com/projects/drone-war/charts?show_casualties=1&show_injuries=1&show_strikes=1&location=somalia&from=2007-1-1&to=now
The USA's annual defense budget rose to an absurd amount under Trump. It is currently at 732 Billion a year which is a larger budget than the ten next countries combined; many of which are our allies like Japan, South Korea, and France. It's super overkill. The priorities of Republicans are whack af. Drumpf gave the Department of Defense more money than they asked for without any real need for the money. Putting aside the very real human cost, war has also serious economic costs - loss of buildings, infrastructure, a decline in the working population, uncertainty, rise in debt and disruption to normal economic activity.
I also give you the Saudi-led genocide in Yemen that the USA supported.100K died in Yemen in 2019 alone courtesy of USA and the Saudis. Trump's personal pockets got filled from this endeavor. It genuinely surprises me that people think that Trump is Anti-war and some sort of peace deal maker. The Israel Peace deals weren't good for Palestine in my opinion. They never are. I didn't even mention anything about the Iran and how the USA sanctioned food and medicine on them which is a war crime. The international criminal court said you can’t do that to civilians, but yet we did it. Trump illegally killed the top Iranian General who btw fought against Isis which means we were effectively acting as the Air Force for Jihadists. Killing Sulimani was a violation of International Law and an act of War that wasn’t approved by Congress btw. I'd go into more detail about the Iran Deal, but I'm tired of writing at this point lol. I wrote these sections out of order and ths was the last one I did. You can kind of tell honestly.
      7.) Trump the Leech
He's literally the most corrupt and self-serving president. Trump illegally made 73 million dollars off foreign investors and governments as president which is a clear violation of the emoluments clause. This means he isn't working in our best interest, he's gonna serve whoever is paying him. Who rode off over 20 million dollars and it was just money he gave to Ivanka which is totally fraudulent, illegal, and self-dealing. Welfare queen Don would undervalue his assests to the IRS so he would pay less taxes, but overvalue them elsewhere in financial documents. He's actually been losing money so he stole 170 million from his campaign to help pay some of his debts. He's basically stealing from his supporters and donors to pay off what he owes. Trump supporters got played for suckers by a supposedly successful businessman with multiple bankruptcies who squandered a massive inheritance, and now he squandered a growing economy. Don't even try to deny this shit because Facts don't care about your personal feelings. All of this was literally in the tax returns. It's the reason Trump fought so hard to not release them. He spends more of our tax money than he donates, so don't be fooled when a Trumpie claims he's working for free and donates his entire presidential salary. It's easy to donate 400k with one hand while you steal millions with the other… sorry he gets no credit for donating back stolen funds. He & his family lived rent free, traveled in luxury, ate like a (burger) king, and golfed on tax money YOU payed. That's more than $2,500,000 a day.

She has zero interest in positively changing the lives of average Americans. Being a kind, educated lady isn't enough to qualify for president. The president needs to be a servant of the people who actually understand the issues people grapple with to address them. Chelsea is an out of touch elitist. She has absolutely no idea what it's like to go bankrupt from medical bills, live from paycheck to paycheck, or lose someone you love in illegal wars. She is opposed to fixing any of those problems, and she epitomizes the status quo that is unequivocally broken and incited the rise of Trump.

She's not able to choose good, individual (!) clothes for such ia show evening, she doesn't look well in my eyes. She is the average daughter and I sure she's an average wife with average friends etc. It is a pity that she doesn't got anything interesting from her parents. I'm sure, that appearances like this one did help her mother to win the election only a little bit. It's the opposite way. Why not telling funny or common things about Trump? Greatings from Germany Oli (We get a new Chancellor next near, but there is no one, which is neary able to be compared with Merkel. That's a pity. Only fools.)

Mario Quade if she runs she will win

    • @GermanLeftist
      @GermanLeftist 6 ปีที่แล้ว

I don't think so. I mean, she's a neoliberal like her parents, only because she has a fresh face and comes across as more nice than her mother, doesn't mean that she's actually going to stand up for progressive values and policies, not only regarding social issues but also economical and foreign policy ones. Right now there's a progressive wave rolling through the Democratic Party. A lot of actual progressives won in the special elections last year, often in purple or even red districts, and last week in a special election in Arizona, in a primary, a progressive candidate got 40% of the Democratic vote with barely any ground game in place yet. In other elections coming up, a lot of progressives once again are among or are the front runners in the polls, but for some reason the DCCC is not backing them or in some cases are actually trying to discredit them.
Now, I believe the same thing would happen if Chelsea decided to run in 2020. The DCCC would try to prevent even more progressive to get into Congress and to get those already in out. They'd put all their weight behind Chelsea and due to her name, there would a lot of media attention and traditional media will fawn over her. That might give her the adventage, and since she'd probably run in New York, there's no chance she then wouldn't win in the general election. But that could easily backfire. Just in the last two weeks the fundraising for progressives attacked by the DCCC or other establishment-related groups have increased, since all grassroots organisations are now uniting behind them. We'll be wiser in the a few weeks after a few more primaries have been decided, but if the current trends hold true, a lot of progressives are gonna win those, despite the best efforts of the DCCC to prevent that. Hence there's no reason to assume that the same tactic would work in favour of Chelsea in 2020, if she'd run. Even more so since she's a Clinton and progressives despise her mother with a burning passion and to a lesser degree even her father. Her name, which would give her a lot of positive attention with the mainstream media could easily give a disadventage among the progressive base.
To summarise: There's no reason to assume that Chelsea Clinton would have a cake walk to a nomination within a Democratic primary, but if she were to win that one, since she'd most likely to run in New York State, she'd then definitely win the general election.
