Yeah, I definitely think a Capcom Vs. SNK trilogy (CVS1, CVS2, SVC:Chaos) will be it's own collection down the line. On the MVC website they emphasized the MVC Collection as part of a "fighting collection series".
The SNK Vs collection of course will definitely happen in around 2 years from now. It will be it’s own separate collection because it’s a collaboration with SNK. Not all of them were made by Capcom. Some titles were made by SNK. It’s extremely different from the Marvel ones as SNK is actually video game company that produced fighting games since the early 90s, they have their own rich history. I guessing SNK will promote that collection from their own social media accounts. It will be very interesting.
Final fight and captain commando were already released in the beat em up bundle. You might want to actually familiarize yourself with what games are included in beat em up bundle and capcom fighting collection. Capcom has stated mvc collection is part of a series so i think we will eventually get a c vs snk collection. Hopefully they add in some oddities like the JoJo fighter or the dungeons and dragons chronicles of mystara beat em up. Edit yes original street fighter is in street fighter collection its terrible though its nice its there but thats all.
Capcom vs Snk2 and Tatsunoko vs Capcom are two of my favorite fighters of all time. I was absolutely blown away when I first saw TvC. I softmodded my Wii just to play it. That was before it got an American release
I could see Tatsunoko vs Capcom being part of a Capcom 3-D Fighting collection. I would guess It would have Rival Schools, Project Justice, Star Gladiator, Plasma Sword, Power Stone 1, 2, and Tech Romancer.
Im guessing Power Stone will be it’s own collection. It’s way too different from the other 3D fighters. I don’t want it to be overshadowed by the other games. Just like Marvel Vs Capcom 4 and Capcom vs SNK 3, Power Stone 3 is something that a majority ( old school cats) wishes to happen.
Captain Commando and Final Fight were already released in the Capcom Beat'Em Up Bundle. Also, not to nitpick but you referred to these titles at 3:23 as SNK vs Capcom... it's actually the other way around. Those are the "Capcom vs SNK" games. The SNK vs Capcom games were handheld releases only. With SNK vs Capcom: SVC Chaos the only one released on consoles
This about marvel punisher is part of marvel rights. We getting cvs collection soon say about after mai comes out we get announcement in spring then release in summer
They would’ve had to rebrand the collection to capcom vs fighting collection. It makes sense these fighters were omitted. The marvel brand alone will make the collection sell.
I can see a Capcom vs SNK Collection coming because they have already rereleased the crossover games on the Neo Geo Pocket on the Switch. I just hope it includes SNK vs Capcom Chaos along with the first two CVS games. As for collections you should look out for the Street Fighter collection Capcom made modern systems which has every Street Fighter up to Third Strike on it. Capcom also has a beatemup collection with Final Fight, Captain Commando, Battle Circuit and three others that is on modern systems. Then last year I think they just released another fighting game collection with their more obscure fighters like Darkstalkers, Red Earth and Cyberbots and a few more. I just hope one day we get a 3D fighter collection that includes the Power Stone and Rival School games and Tech Romancer. I don't see Tatsunoko vs Capcom every coming back though as it has alot of licensing issues to the point where they had to remove a Tatsunoko character from the worldwide release. They made up for it by adding 5 new characters, but still it almost didn't come out over here. Speed Racer was one of the choices for TVC, but never made it out of the license talks I would hope if a miracle game and the game got rereleased they could add him to it.
I agree the Punisher addition is a bit odd. I think they were just trying to stick with the Marvel theme and figured, hey why not? Other Marvel beat em ups include X-Men: The Arcade Game (Konami), Captain America And The Avengers (Data East), and Maximum Carnage (Acclaim). I guess they could have thrown Marvel Super Heroes in War of the Gems as well, not sure what the thought process was.
Having a few real arcade cabs I appreciate the punisher arcade being included. That game is a rarity in the capcom fighting games. I only got to play it a few years ago in a 1up cab. It’s pretty cool but I have no idea what they say sometimes lol
Why didn't they include Capcom vs SNK in the Marvel vs Capcom Collection? it's right there in the title... Marvel Characters and Capcom characters. The licenses dictate what gets made. These games shown here are under different licenses. The difference between this and the fighting collection is those were wholly owned by Capcom.

They chose the punisher because it was the first marvel game capcom worked on so it makes sense

The Street Fighter 30th Anniversary collection has the first Street Fighter.

Capcom vs. Snk first was on the dreamcast right!?

Exactly that's what I was talking about with my friends
Glad i was able to purchase Tatsunoko vs Capcom on sell at 29.99$
Capcom vs snk 2 is my favorite all time lol I enjoy both ps2/GameCube versions
Ps3 had digital

I wish we would get a new tatsunoko vs Capcom or a rerelease on the switch and ps4 but apparently the game is a licensing nightmare

Well snk playmore owns all those characters. They will have to work with Capcom on a collection.
Not tatsunoko that's a anime studio and TV series

Punisher is Marvel and its made by Capcom so Capcom and Marvel but yeah, just one beat em up in collection is kinda odd
I thank you for making this videos
