In today's episode we just visited Bidar Famous "Gurudwara Nanak Jhira Sahib"
One of the very few Sikh pilgrimage centres in south India, the Guru Nanak Jhira Sahib nestles in serene surroundings near a splendid Gurudwara complex. A natural spring feeds the Sarovara (lake) built here. A Guru-ka-langar (community kitchen) provides free food to all visitors. According to a legend Guru Nanak, the famed social and religious Sikh reformer had visited Bidar while the land was in the grip of a famine. At the request of locals, Guru Nanak performed a miracle to bring about a spring of water from the laterite rock mountain. Till this day, crystal clear water flows from here. It is believed that drinking this water cures many ailments.
Reasons to visit Guru Nanak Jhira Sahib Gurudwara:
Langar: Langar is a community kitchen in Gurudwaras where visitors can volunteer to help. Langar serves free meals to devotees each day.
Sikh Museum: Showcases significant events related to Sikh community, key people and their contributions.
Amrit Kund: The holy pond in front of Gurudwara, collects water from nearby springs.
The holy book: The holy book of the Sikhs, called Guru Granth Sahib can be seen by visitors at Sukhasana room.

I seen in winter chandini chouk in Dehli near Red Fort, early in the morning 6.30 am most of the people from Srinagar and esteem cold area migrated to Dehli sleeping with heavy blanket in footpath stretch of 2 kilometre. There is a one famous Gurudwara servings food people sitting 4 lines of fool street. Surprisingly medical treatment. Clean the legs wash dressing, medicine. It's a miracle in earth

The most hygienic food,the healthiest foods are served at guru dwaras,I have tasted langar many times in Bidar itself,the most Devineful feeling feel ever,must visit during guru Nanak jayanti and guru Purab,no cast creed sex based differentiation here

It was known as "Nag Jhari"...water used to flow from the mouth of "Stone shaled cobra" which is worshipped amongst hindus ...under muslim rule this area was occupied by them and a sort of masjid was functioning...during 1948 after Razakar 's violence, operation polo happened ...during that period local hindu's led by Sri Nagshettey Chalva,Sri Brinpal singh and Sri Bachhan singh this was reoccupied and was tunred into a Gurudwara...this is the actual story behind it...by the way Sri Nagshetty Chalva is my Dhoddappa 🙏🙏

I have tasted langar food a few times at Sri Hemkund Sahib Gurudwara, Rishikesh. Food is available 24/7 all 365 days for all. But we are expected to do some Seva in return. They don't insist but tell us.

We visited gurudwar yesterday and experienced the langar. Very sorry to say that the experience wasn't great. As shown in the video where it's being told that they serve Dal, roti, rice, sabzi and halwa we experienced just the opposite. No dal was served in the batch in which we were served langar, forget about halwa. In the batch in which my friend was served langar no rice or sabzi was provided. Earnest request is to serve all the items to everyone who devotedly wants to have langar and I understand that serving 3000 people daily is not easy so please charge nominal amount but provide good langar experience.
