  • This is a quick video of me adhering the torso and leg armor commissioned by GAUNTLET FX. I was advised to use SIKAFLEX 221, but there were complications. I hope this is helpful to you, if you are attempting this Cosplay. Batman suit upgrades, custom Batman suits, Classic Batman cosplay and various Batman cosplay cowls built by fan creators. Thanks for watching,

    I used loctite gel super glue on mine. Same armor from gauntlet fx. 89 custom boots from Cody butler, custom 89 gloves, artsee1 cape.

      LOL! You are absolutely right! More Sika and time to allow it to adhere. A better mannequin would have also been helpful, but I like recording my struggles and mistakes in hopes that viewers will accept their own without fear and avoid my pitfalls. Thank you for commenting and I hope you will continue watching.

    Awesome stuff. Where did you buy your mannequin at? I need the same height and build .

      I bought one online for $100, but I got three others at $20 when a clothing store closed. FB Marketplace is your friend.

    I let the silkaflex sit for about two days… worked pretty good but in the middle of my event my bottom armor was coming undone

      Yeah, I think I mentioned I had to rely on Contact cement to get it to adhere. The bad thing about the contact cement is that it is not Black. the areas where the glue spilled, is visible if you get closer. I have not determined how to darken those areas, or if I should cut the suit off and reapply it again. It was quite the pain. Still I love the finished product. As for the Boots, I bought a pair of cheapy sneakers that resemble the Jordans, no way I'd buy vintage shoes just to trash for cosplay, and another friend and viewer, gave me molded pieces for. The issue I am having that I have yet to revisit is finding the right material for the uppers that can be glued to the sneaker to finish the boot. I will record this process, eventually. Stick with me. Thanks for watching and subscribing.

    Did you try sewing it

    • @masterofnone7977
      @masterofnone7977  ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh no. I am not sure you could or should with vinyl. Have you tried it?

    • @robocop5257

      @@masterofnone7977 actually yeah yes you can I have actually some vinyl before and it does work you need to use a little bit of WD-40 when using a sewing machine is your hand sewing it on the sewing needle but it does work and I have used it before when putting in a zipper and attaching it to suit and making boots out of it so yeah it does work so but see what you can do here's another method if you want to use like a combination of PVC pipe Marine vinyl and foam and if you want to try that and putting in like a magnetic connection or maybe Velcro or snap buttons I hooks I don't know try something that is the same design of the guns that you're going with and try to use you know exact maybe that will help you but yeah it does work with vinyl and if you use WD-40 with it
