@@PichDextro sorry it took me so long to get back to you yes I did love the Dorian romance but I felt it was lacking.I think that they've come a long way and how their mechanics can work together how one character can put their arms around another and that helps it helps build intimacy and romance in the relationship chow and Ryder holding hands with Jaal for instance is sweet and endearing.plus because their not just hurrying for a cutscene they're actually building a story a more organic romance. I mean even later in the Dorian romance in the last DLC when you get more dialogue with him ( granted it's sweet ) but you really don't get much time with Dorian . therefore it still feels like it's flat compared to this. But hey that's what fanfictions going huh. It's just that Jaal and Ryder get more romance in the their romance.and that's after actually seeing and playing a couple of the other romances in this game yes I know you can romance Gil Brodie but that feels a little flat he wants to play poker .I have a feeling I think that's some kind of foreplay to a relationship. Out of all M/M romances within this game, Jaal's was the sweetest I mean he's so romantic, affectionate and that voice. I could get lost in those eyes as well. There's something about a sensitive guy that makes them so attractive.
It is quite stunning how organic and natural that entire story and progression was with the existing content. It is clear that this was content that was already there just was not finished at launch. Great to see this content was completed as it was always meant to be.
That's how most of it is, like the bi cullen mod is just unlocking the data hidden in the files as cullen was originally gonna be bi but they ran into time constraints

Maybe he as less experience with men, or is just a lot more confident talking to girls in a romantic setting (as a bi person, that's totally a thing and I think that it's great that they put it here). It's also pretty cool since Gil is so self-assured and Reyes is such a tease. If they'd kept Jaal the way he was towards f!Ryder there would be less diversity in the style of the romances.

This romance out of the entire ME series hits the hardest as a gay man. You get to know this person from a complete stranger, and get to know them and share experiences, flirt a little. Pretty soon youre meeting his birth mother (who is incredibly caring), and his family- who is so so precious to him, and they accept you near immediately, including the brothers and sisters previously in the Roekaar. You share a wonderfully tender moment in his old room, accepting each other’s feelings and a kiss, then lying under a sea of stars from a homemade projector. (The love scene sequentially after this one is beautiful too.) It made me openly happy cry, because its the EXACT kind of positive and normalized representation gay men dont get to see in video games. Im so thankful that Bioware listened to feedback after their bumpy release of this game and spent the time to put this in. The original trilogy had representation, but nothing so special and warm like this.
