29:07 - I love how the camera operator calls out for all time those who traveled all that way to sleep in a lecture hall while a laureate speaks--and we enjoy the material online.

I'm eagerly waiting for this years Nobel Minds. I love when all of them sit and talk. It's such an amazing conversation.

Watching this from the University of Manitoba campus in Winnipeg, MB & it is so inspiring to see Dr. Peebles being a pioneer in science for all Manitobans across the province! And also knowing Dr.Peebles walked the same halls I walk today, Thank you and congrats sir ! @NobelPrize

Currently writing, imagining, thinking and studying my own theory at dark matter and dark energy so wait me up there in the future. I hope i make it ^^
    Positive thinking respect please

Are you aware of David Bohm's thoughts on the idea that matter emerges from an implicate order as an energy sea? The matter he calls explicate. So perhaps Bohm's source foundation of the explicate matter is dark matter(energy) and that is galaxy matter is not as uniform. Raindrops on a pond is an image. The pond is generally uniform however the droplets move up from the uniformity from the center of the spherical wave. In the Bohm case there is not a raindrop, just the matter arising from the background energy or dark energy. Definitions of the vacuum being not empty perhaps relate to this.

@@abhinavkumartiwari5286 We already had space before the Big Bang. All that was needed was mass(or energy, same thing). However, we know that at subatomic levels matter and antimatter just appear out of nowhere and annihilate each other. That is what we think happened at the beginning of the Universe. And due to cosmic inflation, here we are today.
PS: To understand this properly, read Stephen Hawking's Brief answers to the big questions :)

I still don't understand why the Wright Bros never received a Nobel Prize.

This is more a technological achievment than a discovery in physics.

It must be unnerving to give a speech about why you won a Nobel prize. They should have someone else to do that for you.
