A Must Visit Place of Kapkot, Bageshwar: Chiltha Mata (चिल्ठा माता) Karmi | Day 1

There are two Chiltha Mata Temples situated at two ends of a 3 km long mountain ridge. The temples are located on top of a mountain near Karmi (कर्मी) and Supi (सूपी) villages.
On this trip, we visited the Chiltha Mata Temple which is near Karmi village. This temple is situated at an altitude of around 3000 m and the top of the mountain is at around 3200 m.
From this mountain, you can easily see many peaks of Kumaun, Garhwal and Nepal Himalayas like Nanda Devi, Nanda Khat, Nanda Kot, Maiktoli, Mrigthuni, Panchachuli, Rajrambha, Api (अपि हिमाल) etc.
🏔 Maiktoli: Maiktoli (मैकटोली) is a mountain of Kumaun Himalayas located in the Bageshwar district of Uttarakhand state in India. It stands at 6,803 metres (22,320 ft). It is jointly the 32nd highest mountain located entirely within the uttrakhand India. Nanda Devi is the highest mountain in this category. It is located at the southern rim of Nanda Devi Sanctuary. Maiktoli is located just south east of Devtoli (6,788 metres) and south east of Trisul (7,120 metres).
🏔 Mrigthuni: Mrigthuni (मृगथुनी) is a mountain of Kumaon Himalaya and is located at the southern rim of Nanda Devi Sanctuary. Mrigthuni stands at 6855 meters and it is 28th highest mountain located entirely within the Uttarakhand, India.
