  • In this episode, we dive into the challenge Christian parents face: preparing children to live out their faith in a secular environment. We explore the strategic approach of establishing a strong biblical foundation in children before they encounter secular viewpoints, particularly within the public education system. Join us as we tackle the question: Can children with a solid biblical theology thrive in public schools? This discussion is crucial for parents contemplating the best educational path for their faith-filled children.

I just want to say thank you. The Foundations podcast has been instrumental in shaping my understanding of my responsibilities as a Christian parent. As a Christian raised in public school, I never imagined that I'd be a stay at home, homeschooling mom. I planned on going back to work and using the college degree I spent 7 years earning as soon as my kids were in school. But here I am about to start homeschooling this fall and I could not be more excited. I am so grateful to this podcast to help guide me (in conjunction with the Word of God, of course) in teaching my kids to seek truth and see the world through the Biblical worldview. I am currently using your curriculum about truth with my 4 year old and he loves it! Thank you so much for all you do!

What do you do if you’re poor and your child is on the spectrum and have no experience in teaching such a child? I Hate the school he’s in now, his last school before we moved was great and his teacher was a Christian. This school is just not good and I don’t know what to do?

As mentioned in the video, we know that there are times when parents have limited options in schooling. Our recommendation is to talk with the elders at your church to see if there is any financial assistance available to make other educational options possible.

I am a single mother homeschooling my child. God has provided a way where I thought there was no way. I praise God for His wonderful provision! I truly believed it was God's will that I stayed home with my child, and so I trusted He would make a way and He did. That may not be the case for everyone in every situation, but don't rule it out just because it seems impossible.

@@eleanorfulton8091 he’s got autism, are there groups that help with that? He’s very trying, impulsive, and it’s hard to get him to understand things. I just don’t know if I have it in me. Please pray for us. Thank you so much. God bless.

My son is Autistic and when we decided to take him out of the school I was also scared that I wouldn't know how to help him. I'm here to tell you that he's been thriving ever since. He was so anxious, depressed and suffering in school. The truth is thee staff don't *really* know how to help your child. Only a loving, intentional and dedicated mother willing to learn her child's gifts and challenges deeply can truly help her child find purpose, function and fulfillment in life. Take a chance - homeschool your child. There will be hard days but they'll be rewarding.

@@bibleprophecy4400 l found a good homeschool group in my area and that has helped a lot. There are often other parents of autistic children that you can talk to in those groups and it's just really good to have support and others to share your struggles with.
Honestly, your son will probably be a lot better when he is at home. Autism symptoms are usually worse when they are stressed, so if school is not a good environment for him, his symptoms are probably much worse.
I know it feels like too much, I honestly didn't think I would ever homeschool my child, and it is challenging, but if God is calling you to do it He will provide you with all you need to accomplish it.
Keep praying about it and I will pray for you too. ❤️🙏
