Naturally aspirated? 9 seconds? The new Prius can do it in 7 seconds lol.
That’s for the 2.0l. Currently the 2.5l in the crosstrek with the 2.5l can do it on 7.5. I assume the RS will be the same since the crosstrek is just a lifted Impreza. The base Prius is expected to cost the same as this RS model. Base Prius will not have heated seats, sunroof or AWD.
Subaru already has the WRX for people who want more perfromance.

We used to have an old subaru impreza hatch back in the days where that dad a locking diff and low range. That car was a beast, it handled pretty good and proper awd. You could absoloutelly offroad that thing.
What about the ground clearance though

I love my Impreza, it is a great, simple and comfortable car.
Is that RS version to be sold in Europe as well?
Personally I would doubt that.

I’m done with CVT. I get off work at night and most time temperature ir drop between 30-37F. The car is screamingly and jokingly moving 20-25 rpm just to get to 25 mph, while the other pass by.
Like always Subaru has problems with designers 🥺

I just hope they bring a sport version, or at least a sport line version to EU. I like a lot the black details more than the metalic ones in car. Don't mind an Hybrid version, but with sport trim, better. The inside of the previous model was very well designed, I still have doubts about such a big screen... well see. I am very interested in this brand, hope to try it someday. It was a bit dark, but very good video, as usual. Besides, the wrx style wheel plastic covers will fit excellent in the overall style.

It sad to see Subaru getting rid of the Impreza manual option and also them switching to an electronic parking brake instead of keeping the mechanical hand/emergency brake. Otherwise the new Impreza is quite nice and aggressive looking the interior looks great too. though I probably won't buy a 6th gen until the second or third iteration of it give them time to work out any issues arise with the start of the 6th generation. But I would definitely go for the 2.5 RS trim as I can there being more aftermarket support for RS over the other models

Looks like a Ford Focus and someone should tell Subaru that in 2022 LED's should be a must all around, just a thought

No manual gearbox and no mechanical handbrake? That’s just a miss from Subaru..
Interesting that the Impreza is only available as a hatchback and the WRX is only available as a sedan.

That’s for the base 2.0 engine. The 2.5l can do 7.5 seconds in the crosstrek it should be similar in the Impreza.
Things i don`t like:
- CVT gearbox
- engine power
- rear turn signals
- material quality
- gauge cluster

I've said it before and I'll say it again, I think that Subaru not offering a real automatic transmission (CVT doesn't count) is just shooting themselves in the foot.
Modern customers want an automatic, and CVTs have a bad image.
Hmmm, a bit disappointing the RS has such little power, wish they could have at least used the engine used in the GR86/BRZ.
That interactive floor is making me nauseous.

I find it disgraceful that new cars in 2022 have lightbulbs instead of LEDs for turning indicators while the DRLs are LED.

180hp, sport model and 9s to 100? Is that a joke? Skoda Octavia Estate 2.0tdi can do it in 8s (real test from Carwow) and it is a diesel with 30hp less.

I root for Subaru cause of course I want the weird underdogs to succeed... Buuut Subaru nowadays is the champion of making new cars that are old from launch. This interior is just sad, Megane did it in 2016, the engine is ancient and all the perceivable quality also just reeks early 2010s.

Subaru in a nutshell: laggy infotainment, unreliable boxer engine, keeps a smile on your face when it's not broken and left in a parking lot :))
It is too bad that Subaru doesnt follow Toyota and Honda in making some great drivers cars again.

Year naming depends on the actual release of the vehicle to differentiate it to the outgoing model. In 2023, you ll be able to buy the old and the new, so next year u buy a 2023 Impreza u ll have the old, u buy a 2024 Impreza u know its the new

Thomas, its absurd a car that looks like this.....only has 190bhp and 0-60 in 9.0 secs? That's a bad idea to make something so fake. This car is a pretender. Subaru rarely gets it right.

2.5 litre.... only 180hp.... I saw the RS is actually 7.5 Seconds... still slow and they call it RS... barely improved on the 98 RS, 24 years to gain 20hp and 1 second 🤣
