Ashley this information is false. I’m a realtor and they’re several apartments in ATL that work and pay realtors. The pay is usually 100% or 50% the first months rent which is great money. I work several a month from out of state and consistently make at least $7,000 from leases in Atlanta. don’t discourage people from using realtors to find apartments. Speak on only what you know.
I only speak on what I know and my experience as a Realtor in the Atlanta area for the last few years. When I was newly licensed, I closed multiple lease deals and know what I said to be true- that there are apartment complexes that do not pay Realtor commissions and I have the written agreements to back it up. I also know a handful of apartment buildings that do pay full commissions, as it’s a case by case basis. That’s great that you’ve located apartments paying out 50-100% commission, but every agents experience is not linear and that was not MY encounter with lease deals. I’m not discouraging anyone from using a Realtor to find an apartment. If a prospective tenant would like an agent to represent their best interest in a lease deal, they have free will to do that, and should also know that there’s some agents who will charge them fees for their service in the event that the building does not pay commission. -Ashley
You have written agreements from years ago when you first started lol. The market has definitely changed babes. A lot of apartments pay, not only a handful. You literally said, "you don't really need a realtor to help you lease an apartment" which can discourage someone, and River had to CORRECT YOU! Your statements were simply not true and that's fine.@@RealTalkAtlantaPodcast
@@summerpickens2420and I also have agreements from the 2023 fiscal year so I’m not sure what you’re arguing? What my experience is? The fact of the matter is, not every apartment building will pay full/partial agent commissions. If you want to be technical, no one HAS to work with an agent- not a buyer, a seller, or a tenant. Would I recommend it? Absolutely not, but no one is inclined to use our services if they don’t wish to or feel the need to. Hence why I said what I said.
@@rivertherealtor yes because I’m a locator and this seems a bit off putting. I definitely make 100% on any deal I close. But again times have changed and you all did mention when you were doing it and how it worked them
That is awesome!! We definitely weren't trying to discourage anyone going into the leasing industry heavy. My start in this business was 100% leasing and a few years ago, commission fluctuated. Some places would tell me straight up that with or without an agent, they would fill the units. I don't think we were as respected or appreciated as you all are now. I am glad to hear the shift because leasing agents deserve 100% commission. These tenants are NO JOKE. Gratitude to you, we appreciate you sharing. XOXO @@b_luxtv
I thought buyers agent and listing agent split the commission 🤔
