I love her little panic attack after trying to be all mature about the amount sent. You can see why Laura gets hired for everything.

~Travis starts looking at Laura more and more “checking” as she continues, so he probably had the same thought process haha~
Seeing Sam dropping hints where Nott talks about peoples mothers and what they'd do for them is subtle genius.
He really knew what he was doing when setting up Nott/Veth’s backstory even back before we got the revelations.
Laura's performance of Jester's reading-aloud voice is a complete delight
I love watching Liam act out Caleb's reaction to hearing such a loving letter from Jester's mother. Once you get his backstory later it really just breaks your heart.
Thanks for pointing that out, I rewatched the scene focusing on his reaction. Great dedication to the roleplay
Jester apologizing to him for being a brat about money earlier is also a great interaction between them, as well as a sweet callback to one of their earliest conversations.
Laura’s heavy breathing is comedic genius I’m laughing so hard it’s so in character
It’s an internal war between her knee jerk reaction as a spoiled brat and her conscious mind wanting to be mature and responsible in front of her friends. It’s beyond adorable 🥰
Laura plays that so well, I thought she was really having some kind of attack, whether that was her pregnancy, or not and it looks like Travis thought the same thing for at least a second.
Yeah, even I thought she was going into a labor for a minute

My theory is that Jesters mom is a Alu-fiend witch is a offspring of a succubus and a mortal.
And the offspring of a Alu-fiend and another mortal is normaly a tiefling.
Hints towards that would be that a alu-fiend posseses alot of the traits their demonic parent has (witch would be a great for Jesters mom line of work) and that they will go to great lengths to hide their heritage witch also could be a reason why she would hide Jester.

A combination of not knowing what it’s like to have money or loving parents (anymore).
can i just say how like. yeah you can see she's clearly expecting a lot more money, but even when its way less than she thought it would be, she still insisted and wanted to share it amongst the group. the 'its for ALL of us'.
I tuned in right at this point of the stream and I thought Nott and caleb stole some of the gold from the box
Why did Sam look at Travis when he said “some people steal the mail” ?
He was looking at Marisha because Beau stole mail in one of the first episodes of Campaign 2. Travis just thought that was hilarious and deserved.
Get someone who looks at you how Travis looks and Laura ❤️
I have not scene all the episodes but it looks like Jester was a bit spoiled as a child and comes from a rich family. I agree with others, I loved Laura's presentation of this info.
She was spoiled, but at the same time robbed of outside world and human interaction. I feel like Marion did her best to compensate for it, but she could still feel Jester is very lonely. I was so worried she'd be a cruel evil mother, but I'm so happy to see a healthy mother-daughter relationship, which is rare in the media nowadays. Boohoohoo, I love my mom so much
She does come off early campaign as a spoiled rich kid, especially when you compare her past to the rest of the Nein. It makes sense though and I don’t hold it against her….barring the one time she was a brat to Caleb.
@@austinboylan5476 Which she apologized for in this very scene. I love callbacks and moments like that. It feels like we are watching her learn and grow up.

What if her mom is slowly dying, and that's why she kept Jester around to heal her, like Madame Gothel in Tangled
I've been wondering if the "loving mother" bit is also going to turn out like Tangled or if this will be played straight! Locking a child away for their whole life is pretty extreme of a doting parent, and Jester always putting a positive spin on things, or even making excuses, especially relating to her mom has me really suspicious. Can't wait to see more development. :D
Picklewix It’s a good theory, but a bit unlikely considering she even funded Jester’s travel with 5000 gold. I don’t think she’d be doing this if she absolutely needed Jester to stay near her.
@@ahkj4 if we consider the fact though that when jester did get out and about she had to leave completely. Seems like it was the safer option.
