From someone who lived the days of ‘groovy and cool’, these stories have saved me in ways that are unimaginable. Thank you, I am sure my grandchildren will love them as well😊.
These radio stories were incredible back when they went 'live' on the radio, and listening to them (and the bonus news bulletins at the end of some) now is impossible to describe! I wish I had discovered your channel sooner! Thank you so much David, for helping me relive the favourite part of my childhood 💓
My English teacher, Mr Anderson, first told me about the mystery theatre program when it first started, but my parents would not let me stay up to listen, I was in Jr high school at the time. When I finally got in high school, I would start to listen to it, but had to tape the show and listen to it the next day. I loved it then, and love them now.❤
I listened to the first episode when it aired on my 10th birthday, January 6th, 1974. I listened with my father and sometimes my brother for the entirety of the series, through 1982. These bring back so many wonderful memories for me. Listening from sunny, beautiful Jacksonville, Florida at 9:20 in the morning on November 7, 2023.

2:09 When i see that rype of shop, less and less w/time, BTW. I always worry if their making $! And have experienced trying to biy a thing, and being told, as they nervously twitch at every item i touch, "THAT isnt for sale". When i was younger, id get angry, like, DO U WANT to make $$?! But not so much now. I realized, some time that "not for sale" game, probably JUST a game- to make the item more desirable. I used to go to one shop in n LA, dressed, ill say it, like a bum, i got GREAT DEALS, ONE day, I went dressed, i had on sunglasses, too. I asked the price of a thing, and i SWEAR, the price junped by 500%, I removed my glasses, looked at the lady, and said, "how much?" . The lady sheepishly said " Oh, thats $20". I had to chuckle, and so did the lady- sheepishly. hilarious. l
I was 14 and still had a bed time so I missed out on This! Really enjoying it now at 63 listening on my tablet in bed every night. Thanks!!
Same!

Thank you
The actress sounds a bit like Madelyn Kahn,. I LOVED HER. MK was SO funny.
😊😊😊
man some of those script are atrocious. But it is what you would expect from something that it was produced daily. Some missed the mark.
Thank you
